Hi! These slippers are the bomb. They do not have to be worn by someone who has breast cancer, but I chose to anyway. They are light-weight and a perfect summer slipper. They are machine washable, as I have to wash my slippers so often. I am very pleased with this product and I am sure you will appreciate it to once you have put them on.
