I wasn't sure about this because I believe there were no other reviews to read, but I took a chance and was glad I did. It really is beautiful as a night light. It has a soft glow to it that is really relaxing. You need a small light like you'd use on Christmas trees, not the teeny ones that are popular now but the older ones that are big. My girlfriend was teasing me in the drugstore about finding a light for my rock, but she also thinks it's beautiful!!!!

I have seasonal allergies...and salt lamps is a homedic product with lay to claim to help many effects. I must say for me, it works. Immediately, I noticed the change in the air in my residence. I sleep better, and my allergies has lessen by 90%. The product is packed well..and comes with a light bulb and insert...packed separate..so don't over-look the bulb in the box. Again another excellent product from overstock at a reasonable price.

The lamp arrived very quickly and looks lovely in my Reiki / meditation room. It has a nice warm glow and is very unusual looking. There were absolutely no instructions in the box but quite obvious that it needed a small bulb which I went out and bought. The brightness depends on the strength of the bulb and as I only needed a slight glow, I bought a bulb with less strength.

no light bulb included; it takes a 25 W bulb. it gives off a wonderful amber glow at night & I use it for a night light in my bathroom

It is an expensive night light because that's all I can vouch for. I feel no other effects as far as an ionic air cleaner. I purchased quite a few of these and placed them throughout the house, felt nothing. They do look very nice though.

They are very nice lamps and the price seems reasonable. Great night or mood lights and each of them was definitely different. My grandchildren loved theirs.

I really LOVE this lamp. It puts out a nice soft glow. Very nice.

Had no idea what to expect when I ordered this for my massage therapy treatment room. Many of my clients have commented on how much they like the soft, warm glow and how interesting it looks as well. Haven't used it long enough and I don't keep it on 24/7 to comment on the air-cleansing properties, but I really like it even if all it does is provide a soothing glow. Will purchase another one for my home.

I had admired one of these lamps at a friend's house, and when I saw it here on overstock (at such a great price) a deal was made.

I were very happy with this purchase. It was delievered promptly and was exactly what I ordered.

I got this sort of as a trial to see if I liked it enough to put more around the house, and I must say I am pleased. I leave it on all the time in my 'quiet room', where it acts as a useful night light and does indeed improve the air, quietly. Based on some of the reviews I wondered what I would receive. My lamp arrived well packed and with a bulb included, although the hole in the bottom of the lamp is much larger than the little clip fixture that is intended to keep the bulb upright inside the lamp. I suppose there could be a potential risk with that, maybe damage to the bulb if it rests against the inside walls of the salt block? In any case I don't think it's going to be a problem. The inline wheel switch on the cord works well for where I have it and the color is quite soothing and lovely. This 'mini' lamp is bigger than I expected it to be. Good way to get started trying these things out. Will be trying one of the carved shapes next, though the natural form is also very ice.

I have ordered several of these lamps in different sizes for myself and also as gifts. They are wonderful. No, there are not any instructions with the lamp but if people would just read about the product before they order it, they would know what size bulb it takes!
