4 stars - but only if you use them immediately. I ordered these along with the jumbo calla lilies on Sunday evening and they came Friday morning exactly as the shipping schedule said. My shipping notification email came almost 24 hours after they were delivered, and I did stress about whether they would come in time or not. You have to be home to receive the flowers. The hydrangeas came with individual head covers and little plastic bags with wet cotton (?) rubber banded to the end of the stems. There are a lot of opinions on how to care for cut hydrangeas. I did the diagonal cut and hot water seal. There were several flowers that had a 7"+ head, but not a lot. They were beautiful and easy to work with and got over being squashed in the box pretty rapidly. They went in to arrangements Friday night and by noon on Sunday were just plain dead and had to be pulled out and replaced, while the callas are still fresh today (Monday). I don't know if the hot water method failed, or the flowers were older. They were lovely for a very short time. I would not order these again, but I would order the callas or try another flower. Great pricing and you can't beat the shipping.
I ordered these flowers for my wedding and they were beautiful but..... I ordered them with the normal delivering schedule provided and made sure I would get them on a Thursday for the absolute freshness for Saturday. I received them on Tuesday early afternoon, which meant I had to keep them absolutely perfect, alive, fresh and fantastic for 4 days. They took a lot of care because I was nervous about having them die the day before the wedding, I didn't have a refrigerator to put them in so it was manual labor. They did make it until Saturday and I only lost about 5-6 flowers. Like I said in the beginning, they were beautiful but I just wish I didn't have to care for them and have that extra worry 4 days before my wedding. It was a great day and a great wedding with or without them. I was glad it was with them though:)
I ordered these hydrangeas for my wedding and they were great! Just in case, I ordered them so they would arrive on Wed. They were still in great shape all day Saturday! Other sites recomment that for hydrangeas, when you cut the stems, you put the new cut in open flame (candle, gas stove burner) for 5-6 seconds and then put it in nice fresh water with floralife in it. This worked well for me. I also put damp cloths on top of the hydrangeas which seemed to keep them happy until I was ready to work with them.
