I ordered 50 cards to use as invites to a company holiday party. "Santa" was going to leave a voice message and personally invite each employee. Unfortunately, 20% of the cards did not work and we were unable to record onto them. Of the remaining 80%, approx half of them only recorded between 6-8 seconds cutting off the recording. Poor quality. I would not recommend purchasing these.

I was thrilled to be able to find these musical Christmas cards. It was easy to record them and play them back as long as you were careful. I removed the sticker over the "record" so that the recipient would not be tempted to push it and erase the recording -- just a safety tip. I found it easier to "play" it back by holding the front and back of the card with my thumb and index finger instead of just pushing "play". Although, I wrote "Hand Stamp" all over the envelope and paid 20 cents extra for Non-Machinable, the Post Office destroyed one recording by automatic Machining it anyway and tearing the envelope. To be sure it gets there without the Post Office damaging it, next year I am just going to put it in a padded envelope. It is too much fun to give to risk destruction of the recording.
I bought these for my direct family only. I found it hard to record and when it did it was very low and scratchy sounding. I ended up only able to use 2 in the pack one was given to my father who pressed the wrong button and erased my recording. It's a waste of time and money
