Viva Italia Gourmet Gift Basket

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my sister. I am so glad that I was able to open it and tweak it before I gave it to her. The wicker basket is cute, though not the sturdiest basket I've ever seen. I went to pick up the package of spinach pasta and the bag was ripped open in the back, sending green pasta all over the place (which also happened with the Roman Holiday Gift Basket I purchased for my parents), including down in the basket. I ended up having to go out and purchase another bag of pasta to replace the one that was already open. Also, don't be fooled by the large package of biscotti in the picture. What I received was a single piece of biscotti, enough for one person. After fixing it up a bit, it turned out nice and my sister really liked the gift. I would recommend that you do not send this gift directly to the person you want to give it to. Instead, have it sent to you first so that you can make sure that everything is as it should be and nothing is already open.

Nice selection. Make sure you give to a person or family that appreciates the quality of the foods. The receiver of my gift probably won't use half of the items as they prefer the store-brand macaroni and bland tomato sauces.

I got this for an anniversary gift for my brother. They loved the basket the most. However the picture shows a towel in the basket and that did not come with the basket. They, however did not seem to be bothered by that.
