I was also very disappointed in this item. It is way too small to be of much use, and my rose was already off when I received it. The wood is damp-ish, which is why I think the rose will not stay glued to it; it is strange wood, and seems as if it is inappropriate for the design. I did not have time to send it back and did not want to deal with the hassle of a return, but it is really a useless item becuase of its small interior size, and it is not attractive enough to be merely a deorative peice. I wish I had not bought it and I will probably keep the purple rose that fell off and toss out the rest of it Expensive rose that's for sure!.

This is poor quality and looks cheap up close besides. It opens and closes ackwardly, has very little space inside and isn't lined. May be ok to store loose change but I wouldn't recommend it for any jewelry.

Sent this to my Sister-In-Law for her Birthday. She said that the rose fell off the first week. She did not like the item.
