Taste of Italy Gourmet Italian Gift Basket

I cook Italian all the time so I know what to look for in good quality ingredients. The gift basket was a bit pricy, even for Overstock.com but this was a gift to special people so the cost didn't enter into the decision to buy it. The basket wasn't as sturdy as I felt it should be and the presentation of the food items was very disappointing. All were just pressed into the basket. Once I pulled everything out the basket and tried to "refresh" them, it didn't work. The dry goods just looked very dry, limp and lifeless. I didn't cook any of the items, so I can't attest to quality of ingredients. But by appearances, they looked old and not very appetizing. Sorry. But I was just disappointed.
