Featured ReviewNice Barrier Doesn't Fit Grand Am

I purchased this for my Grand Am so that my dog wouldn't try to surf the center console. It was a little short vertically and didn't fit snug ceiling to floor. I remedied this by cutting a couple 2 x 4 blocks to set on the floor as my base. This did the trick and now it fits nice and snug and works wonderfully (does not slide around at all even though it's on the blocks). Would be nice if it fit vertically in standard cars, but for the price, I'm willing to use the 2 x 4's.

I purchased this product because I have two dogs, a lab and a jack russell, who like to roam around the vehicle. The barrier works great on the bigger dog but allows the smaller one to slide the rails in and work her way through if unattended. Overall the product is well worth the money.

For the price it is a good buy. My dogs were able to slide the poles to fit threw the sides. Did not stay upright in vehicle.

I installed the barrier on my 2007 Nissan Frontier crew cab. The threaded rod adjustment device was way too short so I placed the threaded rod feet on one pound (or formerly one pound size) coffee cans, upside down. A "three" pound can would be sturdier. Clearly, this barrier was not designed for regular cars or trucks but for SUVs. However, with a little imagination, it can be made to fit.

I don't know why we waited so long to get this for our car, it's so nice and makes it safer for all riding in the car. We have a small suv and it fit perfectly. No more hair everywhere,and my vehicle stays so much cleaner now. The price was great too. We live far from shopping areas so overstock is so easy !!
