The picture is very deceiving - the bed is not that big (they should show a smaller dog in the medium bed and not a golden retriever in an extra large bed). My dog is 45 pounds and he barely fits if he is curled in a tight ball. The bed does seem like it would be sturdy and comfortable if my dog was 30 lbs. But it just goes unused downstairs and he sleeps under my bed instead.
We bought the larger version of this bed for our Doberman and couldn't wait to add one for our smaller dog. It keeps it shape beautifully, and the green blends well with our dark green carpet. "The girls" are very happy with their comfy new beds.
The dog bed itself is great, very durable material and extremely comfortable, however it is not as large as it appears. It's sold as a medium size dog bed and it really only for small dogs. I was disappointed to see there is a picture of a golden advertised with the bed and to tell you the truth, there is no way a golden would fit on it.
Bed looks sharp, material is fine, definatly wish the cover was removable, haven't wash it yet, have a extra large washer and hopes it will wash without twisting bed too much. Sides are good height and shape was great. Price was okay and received promptly. Was packaged well and the overall rating was good.
My dog is a nester & she loves this bed as the rim is raised so she feels more secure. I haven't washed it yet but I'm sure it will be fine judging by the texture of the fabric. I would recommend this product as it is very good value for money in comparison to retail stores.
