For a 3/4 size travel guitar this little Luna is the best! It's solid wood, unlike the more expensive little Martins and Taylors which are made of laminate products. I was especially intrigued by the moon-phase MOP inlays on the fret board, looks so cool! Of course the sound is not all that you will get with a full size guitar but for this size and price you will not be sorry.
very well put together and sounds great for the price. Very nice quality and no disappointments if you remember how much you paid for it! I love to play it almost as much as my daughter does.
My first thought is that it is a little smaller than other 3/4 guitars, but once I got used to the frets being smaller, I couldn't put it down. I still like my bigger guitars for fingerpicking but for an all around quality guitar that doesn't break the budget, this is the one. I don't think I could have made a better choice and I am not afraid to carry this thing with me anywhere. Nice, Nice guitar for the money
I am so pleased with my new Luna Muse Safari guitar, and with the prompt delivery and service from Overstock.com. The guitar is much more than I expected it to be. It has excellent tone, is very attractive, and the action on mine was already perfect when it arrived. I didn't have to adjust anything, and I didn't even have to put on new strings as I thought I would. There is no fret buzz anywhere, and the intonation is surprisingly good, especially for a 3/4 size guitar. Aside from two very tiny blemishes on the back of the guitar, the instrument is in perfect condition. Even the backpack-style gig bag that came with it is serviceable. It is not padded at all, but geez, for the price, I'll do just fine. The only thing I would have liked would have been for Luna to include some sort of documentation... just a spec sheet or something. But other than the little wrench for adjusting the neck (another unexpected feature of this guitar), there is nothing else in the box.. But I am still very impressed. I've been playing Gibsons and Takamines for years, and I have to say that while the Luna is not in their league as a piece of craftsmanship, it can certainly hold it's own in terms of pure fun and playability. And that's exactly what I bought it for, so I'm happy!
OK, let's keep it real. The claim that this inexpensive instrument is solid wood is highly suspect. Luna's website is deliberately vague on this issue. As far as comparing it to the Baby Taylor, I've done it, side by side. If you pay double the money, you get better sound. The Taylor sounds better, of course. However, for the price, this is a good deal. It is well put together, attractive, light and small. It makes a good travel guitar. I'm looking forward to many hours of enjoyment with this fun little guitar.
Love this little guitar. Nice finish, great tone and play-ability. Works well with steel or nylon strings. great for small kids or as a backpacker type instrument. Love the phases of the moon on the fretboard.

I have only taken this out of the box to check it over. It is a Christmas gift for my daughter, so I will update my review after Christmas. As of right now, I was impressed with the sturdy feel of the guitar and the beauty of it as well. I expect it will be a huge hit at Christmas.

This is a very nice little guitar. The body is quite small, but the tone is surprisingly good. The craftsmanship if very good. It comes with the truss rod in good adjustment. The laser markings around the sound hole are lighter than in the picture, more like you see on Luna's henna guitars, no big deal. I find the action near the nut to be too high especially on the higher strings. It is hard to get a good sounding F chord for instance. I will probably eventually file the notches in the nut a bit. The wood grain and matt finish are both very nice. The gig bag is serviceable but not padded. It is a very sweet little instrument.
A friend of mine has a Luna guitar and I fell in love with the design and craftsmanship. I have always wanted to play the guitar so, this one is my first because it is smaller and compact. I am always on the go so it is easier for me to take it around. I love it... It is a piece of art!
