Overall I would recommend this bed, with a few caviats. Be aware this Companies idea of a large is for a Med. size dog. We have a Blue Healer and a Kelpie. Either can fit in it to curl up, not to stretch out.
The bed is also not padded on the bottom and it's pillow has very little padding, as pointed out by another reviewer. I have put a crate pad of larger size under the pillow that comes with the bed, but above the base waterproof sheet and that seems to make it more appealing to them. Since our dog beds do not set on carpet but on ceramic tiles, the dogs prefer good padding. They make that clear by going for the best padded bed with head bolsters. In the summer they splay out on the tiles for cooling.
The padding in the side rolls is a little too soft, but if the pad you put under the pillow is large enough to come all the way out under the side rolls (about 28x22 for best fit), it lifts and firms the side rolls somewhat. It also gives the bed a larger, better shape. Our dogs definitely like an elevated head rest.
I don't know why the manufacturer does not make the bed better padded, or more ideally with two pads of differing sizes as I have described, in the first place, they should for the price. That is why I gave it an average rating, it is not better than average in quality.
One nice feature is the faux suede covering portion, it cleans up well. The cotton portion and side of the pillow that comes with it could distract from your decor (does in mine), though it actually looks better in situ than in the picture. The printed portion is not very cleanable other than by full washing. They could have used the same faux suede throughout. for maintenance, even if using two colors. However, the oposite side of the base pillow is of the suede material, making it look better; but, it would have been more useful if the base pillow was reversible to the suede to fresh it up quickly without changing the look. Maybe I am too particular, but it is in our living area.
So far I have just vaccumed and spot cleaned (not quite a month of use) and it looks OK in the living room where there are two other pads (3 dogs). The Rottweiller tried the bed once, couldn't get comfortable, so she gave up and has not gone to it again.
All that said, I would order another if they actually made a true Large, and fix it up a little as I did this one, just to have a new and better match for the Rottweiller. Because of this products small size compared to competitive "larges", it is overpriced for what you get.
