Kopi Luwak has the wonderful taste of Sumatra. It leaves your lips feeling somewhat sticky. But at least I know now what "the world's rarest beverage" tastes like, and I didn't have to pay $592 per pound for it.
It is a smooth delicious coffee with very low acidity, even tastes good black no sugar. The beens smelled fresh upon opening the bags, it is supposed to be a blend but one could not tell by looking. It makes a good french pressed cup of coffee for the price.

Honestly, I cant tell this coffee from any other coffee, but at least I can say I tried it and can now cross it off my bucket list.

We have purchased Kopi Luwak before and the quality here was just as good as the coffee shop, for much less. Interesting product to share with friends. Strong, yet smooth.

It was on my bucket list to try. Anything special? Naaa. Better tasting coffee out there.
I gave the product 4 stars as I haven't tried it yet, nor has the person I gave it to as a gift (best part of getting 2 bags is you can keep one for yourself :)). The 4 stars is for fast shipping and accurate product description. However, I did read the ingredients, and the coffee said it contains Kopi Luwak flavors, not necessarily the actual coffee...
Bought this and split the bags among 2 family members, both of whom brewed the coffee for company during the holiday season (so I got to partake in my own gift). We're generally a Peet's Coffee-drinking bunch, and we found this Kopi Luwak blend ultra-smooth, very drinkable black and w/o C&S, and reasonable enough for regular folks to brew it for themselves without taking out a second mortgage. We also compared it to a coffee which purports to duplicate the Kopi Luwak effect synthetically; although both were delicious, the true blend did come out better. Buy it, try it, and if you don't like it, at least you didn't spend hundreds to find out!
Kopi Luwak is surprisingly good. Damn pricey, but good.
Make sure you read the fine print. This is a blend and it contains less than 10% Kopi Luwak beans (we sorted a bag). The beans weren't even close to fresh. They were dry and tasted a bit bitter, even when put through a french press. When we sorted the beans we noticed that less than 30 of the beans had any oil shine to them. I would not purchase this again.
