Although the boxwood may be derived from a Japanese boxwood, the Kingsville was developed at a nursery in Kingsville, MD. Extraordinarily large specimens may be seen at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, as they were placed in the herb garden soon after the Kingsville development.
