A Good Deal
It was a good deal for my 8 year old son. It comes with everything a young musician needs to get started (guitar, mini-amp, plugs, picks, carrying case, strings, and instructions). The guitar can also be connected to a regular amp and it sounds and looks pretty good too. I also purchased the extended warranty; just in case.

Really just a toy
My 7-year-old daughter saw this item on Overstock and begged me for it nonstop till I finally caved. At almost a hundred bucks, I thought we were getting a real instrument, and hired a guitar teacher to start giving my daughter lessons. But after the very first lesson, he told me the guitar wasn't usable - the strings are too taut, so they're very hard for little fingers to press down, and they quickly go out of tune as well. He said that the amp was also really just a toy. A week later he located us a MUCH better used guitar, complete with a much larger and better amp, for the same price. I'd return this item but we already used it. Best only for a toy if even that.

Just opened guitar for Christmas. Amplifier doesn't work! My son is soooooo disappointed! :(

Great for our 5 year old
This guitar was the best birthday present we couldve gotten our 5 year old. The only complaint I have is that it did not come with a power cord for the amp and we were under the impression that this came with everything we needed for him to rock out on his birthday. Other than that it was good.

Good quality
My son loved this. It took a beating from a 9 year old and held up. The only con is the strings/ sound could be tuned a little better it is hard to tune it but then again it is a child's toy so wh can u expect!!! The amp works good too!!!

Perfect and Authentic
This was the perfect gift for our son. He has been asking for a black electric guitar for quite some time. We were so impressed when we recieved it as I was worried it might get damaged in shipping. It came perfect and no problems. It is exactly like an adult version, just smaller. It is heavy duty and the case and amp are perfect for it. You can't go wrong with the whole kit. It was hard to find one of this quality with the case and everything. Our son is only 6 and doesn't know how to really play, but when he gets older he take lessons. This will last a long time and the sound is good.

Kid's electric guitar
Cute and works for our seven year old son. Has nice sound and will be perfect for his beginner's lessons. Lately shipping has be problematic, and the guitar was a bit delayed, but it arrived in time for the birthday which is all that mattered.

A Hit!
This is perfect for my 8 year old son. I would not order is for someone over 9 it is very small. My son was thrilled Christmas morning. My only complaint is that the packaging almost spoiled Christmas. The box says guitar and amp on it is huge black letters, so when it was sitting at my front door my husband had to distract my son so he did not see it.
