This ivory jasper ocean gemstone globe has been painstakingly assembled by hand using 37 different semi-precious stones from all over the world!
Our globe is 6 inches in diameter, mounted on a contemporary three-legged, polished bronze stand. At the bottom of the stand, there is a precise glass-topped integral bronze compass.
Each country is inlaid from a different, individually cut stone that has been polished and set into this exquisite piece of art--lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl, amethyst, African jade, tiger's eye, jasper, turquoise, purple quartz, onyx, unakite, abalone and many other beautifully hued stones. The latitude and longitude lines are thin ribbons of brass, embedded through the globe.

The product was exactly what I ordered, very reasonably priced, and was shipped without damage. I purchased the globe as a gift for my fiancé and he loved it. I was originally worried about the stand looking cheap, but it's very nice and very resistant to scratches. Also, I'm not sure if this was in the product description-- I'm sure it was-- but there is a working compass just below the globe! Overall, great product, great service, and excellent shipping.
It would be wonderful if you would list what stones represent the various countries..Other than that the globe is an interesting and visual addition to our study..Thanks once again for a wonderful buy!!!
This gemstone globe is very pretty -- but much smaller than I was expecting. I'd still recommend it, but I did need to find a different location to place it than I'd first thought.
