This ivory jasper ocean gemstone globe has been painstakingly assembled by hand using 37 different semi-precious stones from all over the world!
Our globe is 6 inches in diameter, mounted on a contemporary three-legged, polished bronze stand. At the bottom of the stand, there is a precise glass-topped integral bronze compass.
Each country is inlaid from a different, individually cut stone that has been polished and set into this exquisite piece of art--lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl, amethyst, African jade, tiger's eye, jasper, turquoise, purple quartz, onyx, unakite, abalone and many other beautifully hued stones. The latitude and longitude lines are thin ribbons of brass, embedded through the globe.
This is the perfect gift for any world collector, or geography buff!

This is an excellent buy! put together very well. Oh, the globe is not made of Ivory. It is illegal to import into the US. Overstock would not sell it. The ivory refers to the base color.

Very rich looking
This has been purchased as a gift for my well traveled Sister and her Husband, they have money so are difficult for me to buy for. I feel confidant that they will enjoy displaying this globe for years to come. It will fit in any decor and is small enough for the coffee table so they can give an excellent visual of where they have been and are going. This is a beautiful item and some day I may buy one for myself
