This entertaining, attractive game is entirely hand-crafted and hand-painted by a family of Worldstock artisans in their small workshop in the village of Ban Twai in the Golden Triangle region of Northern Thailand. Regarded as the ultimate game of strategy that develops one's thinking power and intelligence, Mah Jong has been popular in China and around the world for centuries. The object of Mah Jong is to make a complete hand of 14 tiles, consisting of combinations of identical or consecutive tiles of the same suit.

This is a wonderful set. The wood is not cheap, the characters are sharp and colorful. I haven't had the time yet to learn to play by the booklet that came with the set, but they sound detailed and clear.
This is going to be a gift for my mother who plays all the time so I have not seen whats inside yet.

The set is just ok. It serves the purpose of playing the game, but has no "bells and whistles". I was really looking for a thicker tile and this is rather thin. It is ok for general play not not the quality I have played with previously.

Gave it as a gift to an adult friend and they loved it. Wanted to know if they could get another one for their lake house. A great deal of attention was given to the individual pieces. The price and quality were great. Ordering another one.
