a little dissapointed...box was flimsy at closure...cheap looking...paint was just 1 color...i was expecting some bright colors on the black box that i purchased...guess i shall just repant the bird!!!

This product arrived fast and looks as shown on the website in terms of color and shape. The only reason that I gave it a 4 rating is because the box actually looks smaller in scale as you would think. I would purchase a bigger piece next time.

Bought this box for my husband. He LOVES it. He stores guitar picks in it. It is more beautiful than I expected.

This is quite beautiful, but somewhat smaller than I imagined. It will still be a perfect gift and can be used for only "special" jewelry items. I would definently recommend to a friend.

I ordered the box with birds. It has an old and worn look to it, but has pleanty of color. Not sure it looks hand painted.....but still very nice. There is no actuall hinge on the box, the leather holds it together. I suppose if that goes bad I am out of luck. The inside of the box is smaller because the walls are a little thick. I bought it to put my watches in it, works perfectly.
