This jewelry box is much prettier than pictured. Here it looks blue, but the color of the wood is actually a distressed black, and the painted accents are mostly red and gold. It is a beautiful piece ... but the problem is the size. It's true to the dimensions listed, but the drawers are much smaller than the dimensions would suggest. They are very tiny! In fact, the three small drawers behind the little doors are only 2" deep. Any jewelry with a set form (bangle bracelets, wire necklaces) won't fit inside these drawers. The whole box won't hold all my jewelry either. So, I will probably have to use this box for other trinkets and get another, bigger box for jewelry. Still, it's very pretty. Might be perfect for a child's bedroom?

This unique jewelry box is truly beautifully carved and painted teakwood. The soft velvet interior is perfect for even the most precious pieces of your jewelry collection. With a good eye to detail, the jewelry box is a welcome addition to any dresser or vanity adding both class and usefulness. I was strongly impressed with the carving of the columns in the front doors, and on the box it's self. I have already given one as a gift that was received with much delight.

This jewelery box looks great. Intricate details and imressive durability make it a fine addition to any dresser top. Really catches your eye. Only drawback is that the drawers are a little shallow and don't hold as much as you would like. Decent storage, but could be a little better. Overall, I would recommend this piece if you have a small/medium collection of jewelery that you want displayed nicely.

I am extremely pleased with this lovely jewelry box. The color, etching, and quality are all very good for the price. Besides its good looks, the box, for its size, has a lot of room for earrings, pins, and other jewelry items. I highly recommend it!

This was not the size I anticipated, and did not look at all like the picture. Very unlike an Overstock product I am used to. I intend to return it.

Product arrived in perfect time. Smaller than expected, etchings are crooked, velvet linings more like felt and shabbily installed. Opened the left side door to find out the mitres were never fastened/glued.

This is truly a beautiful box. For the original price, one would believe it to be better constructed and lined in velvet. It's durability is questionable.

The doors stick on this item. They slide out too easy. Other than that, it is a lovely item.

This is exactly what I was looking for for my husband. It doesn't have the super glossy finish that would make it appear too feminine for a man; the finish has more texture to it. The lined drawers are a terrific size for watches, rings, tie tacks, cufflinks, and there are enough of them for a guy in a hurry to quickly "file away" his things. I would definitely recommend this to a friend who doesn't want the sissy jewelry storage box. Don't get me wrong...it is very attractive.

I was a little leery that it wouldnt be black, as it looks almost green on the website, but it showed up exactly as described. The drawers are a little shallower than I had expected, but it is a solid and adorable little jewelry box.

After reading the reviews regarding this piece being smaller than it seems in the pictures, I purchased it anyway and have 2 comments. First, it arrived quickly as most of Overstock's items do. Second, IT'S THE CUTEST JEWELRY ARMOIRE I'VE SEEN. It's smallness (which is not too small) just adds to the sweetness of this piece. I was pleasantly satisfied after opening the package. I think it's even better in person than viewing on-line.

Beautiful, hand carved jewelry box. A little on the small side, but still worth the purchase. My wife loves it.

I was surprised how much different, and not in a good way, this item looked in person. It didn't look horrible, but not worth the price. The paint overall looked sloppy. Not the best thing I ever gave for a gift, but not a total embarrassment, either.
