Add a touch of the Far East to your decor with this Hand Painted Tibetan Jewelry Box.
These magnificent hand-painted leather and wood jewelry boxes are crafted by a small group of Tibetan Worldstock artisans currently living outside of Beijing. Each jewelry box is constructed of wood and then completely covered with leather both inside and out. The piece boasts a flip-open top, with a brass clasp on the front which can be secured with a lock (lock not included).
The inside leather is meticulously hand-painted with various Chinese symbols and characters. The outside leather is dyed dark red, then hand-painted one of four designs: children playing, birds sitting in a tree, two dragons, or a dragon with a phoenix.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce slight variations in form and sizing. All measurements are approximate.

I purchased this box as a gift for my 16-year-old stepdaughter. I have the same box in black, and she really liked mine, so I got her one in red. She loves it! It's pretty, but small. I also think its a tad on the expensive side for what it is. Makes a nice gift though.
THE BOX IS WELL CONSTRUED THE PAINTINGS ON THE LEATHER ARE EYE CATCHING. THIS IS A COLLECTORS BOX THAT CAN BE HANDED DOWN.

Although the other reviews said it was small, and although the dimensions are listed i still was not prepared for just how small, small really means. That said: I bought it for my wife and she loves it. It is a beautiful artful a plus excellent gift.
