This humidor is amazing, it is functional and beautiful! Love it! Will easily hold 100 cigarsRead More
Pros: The humidor is beautiful, and is made out of beautiful knotty wood. It took about 2-3 days to fully prime it, and since then is has maintained a 70-75% humidity. The water sponge doesn't seem to need to be refilled very often either, which means the humidor has a pretty good seal. Its doing its job very well. Cons: The hydrometer that can with it was horribly inaccurate. I used a digital hydrometer to calibrate it. Calibrating the pre-installed dial hydrometer was not easy. Most dial hydrometers have a screw hole on the back that allow for easy calibration with a small flat head screw driver. However, this one required dismantling it and crudely using some pliers to turn the needle assembly to where it needed to be. I've found that most dial hydrometers that come with these small humidors aren't very good. I'd highly recommend investing $20-$30 in a good digital hydrometer. Finally, the two small windows on the front weren't necessary. I'd rather have beautiful wood there instead.Read More

Why Humidors Are Great Gifts for Cigar Lovers
Humidors are a great gift for cigar lovers because they preserve the flavor of an expensive cigar and also represent an appreciation for the art of cigar smoking. Like a fine luxury sports car, an expensive watch or a tailored suit, the humidor accords status to its owner.
Best Features of a Good Humidor
Cigars can be a lavish gift option. Presenting and storing cigars in a humidor will ensure you and gift recipients of a flavorful and moist smoking experience. Good cigar humidors are cases lined with cedar wood and are designed to keep cigars at a desirable humidity level. Maintaining moisture in a cigar prolongs its lifespan and quality, which is essential for all cigar collectors who want to make the most of their assortment. Aficionados allow their stock to age and ferment in a humidor, much like a fine wine. High-quality cigar humidors have a built-in humidification device, hygrometer and trays.
Tips on Different Types of Humidors
Your cigars are investments and should be cared for like expensive bottles of wine and fine liquors. Humidors are cigar cabinets that have a controlled level of humidity and temperature, which are ideal for storing cigars and other tobacco products. Investing in a humidor for your home is the best way to store fine cigars with confidence. You have many options when shopping for cigar humidors, including models that sit on your desk, humidors that act as furniture and cigar cases that go with you everywhere. Consider these tips on different types of cigar humidors and cigar cabinets before shopping.
How to Store High Quality Cigars
Smoking a high-quality cigar is a real pleasure; in fact, cigars are a passion for the many people who keep a selection of their favorite varieties in the home or office at all times. The finest tobaccos command a high price, so if you enjoy purchasing and smoking cigars, even occasionally, you'll want to protect their quality. When cigars are exposed to air, they deteriorate quickly, becoming dry and brittle. Dry cigars also yield a different, less satisfying smoking experience. Yet storing cigars need not be an overly complicated process, and once you learn how to store cigars, you can have them stay fresh for a long time.
How to Choose Flavored Cigars
Flavors add spice to life, and flavored cigars are no exception. Your favorite flavored cocktail reminds you of that special bar where you first tried it. Holiday flavors bring memories of seasonal get-togethers flooding back. Uniquely-flavored candies spark memories of an exciting foreign vacation. Flavored cigars act in the same way, bringing a scent and a taste to celebrations and rituals. When you're shopping for humidors and cigars, consider trying a few new flavored cigars or flavored cigarillos. It's easy to choose the cigars and cigarillos that will evoke good memories years into the future when you follow a few simple tips.

How to Care for a Glass Coffee Table
Fashionable and elegant coffee, sofa and end tables make a stunning addition to any room. Their unique and versatile appearance easily allows them to match many different living room styles ranging from modern to classical or traditional. A glass coffee table acts as an instant furniture focal point in your living room. However, because it's made of a delicate material, it must be treated with caution and care in order to make it last. The glass table top is susceptible to scratches and nicks. However, keeping glass coffee tables clean and scratch free is easy if you follow the instructions below on how to care for a glass coffee table. Your glass coffee table will last for many years if treated with care.
Best Bookshelf Materials
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. How to Clean Bathroom Faucets
Bathroom faucets, especially in high-traffic bathrooms, can go from clean to dirty in hours. On top of getting so much use, calcium deposits in hard water can collect on your bath fixtures, creating a dull, filmy exterior. Make your bathroom faucets shine by getting them as clean as possible every time you wipe down the countertops or do a deep clean in your bathroom.
How to Use a Belt Sander
A belt sander allows the operator to quickly sand the surface of a piece of wood with a minimum amount of physical effort. Because the belt sander is a power tool and the belt moves at such high speeds, it does not require as much pressure to strip off the top layer of the wood as it would if you were using a sheet of sandpaper. Belt sanders, like all power tools, are especially important for large home improvement projects, like building a deck or refinishing cabinets, because they can sand a lot of surface area very quickly.
