I was never a lesser knock of type of guy. Then I bought this guitar as an investment and tried out the amp..... it is absolutely the best sound I have ever heard out of an amp. I have played marshall's ,peavey classic thirtys,fender tube amps, line 6... It is such a great sound. The distortion is what you would expect out of a boutique tube amp, the tone knob always delivers a great eq . I just cant believe the sound that comes from such a petite little amp. The guitar is pretty awesome to . I got really cheap because it was damaged but never the less it is very playable. dont hesitate , buy it now. you wont be let down!!!!!

We bought this guitar as a gift for our 15 yr.old son and it is a beauty! It appears to be good quality, it has a kit which includes an instructional DVD, which is very helpful to my son to learn the basics. Overstock is a good place to shop, their customer service is great and I would reccommend both to customers.

My son got this for Christmas and he's thrilled with it. He is not happy with the amp, but for the name brand and the price, it's fantastic.

I was thrilled everything came in one box on time and undamaged. It looked better in person and the gift was well received. Everything for someone wanting to start.

This solid body guitar arrived damaged, in that the bottom side of the body plastic coat was chipped, apparently dropped or otherwise struck hard enough to damage the about 1.5" of the finish. mechanically and electrically everything else was/is OK. Since the damage is strictly cosmetic, I have painted the chipped spot with black paint to match the color of the body (black) and do not plan to return it. I might add that the amplifier is a little wimpy, so I'll probly replace that somewhere down the line. But the instrument is a good quality guitar, obviously well made.

I don't know anything about guitars. I bought this for my daughter as a starter guitar. She loves it! The only thing that she was a little disappointed in was the fact it didn't have a whammy bar. However, we have been told that Gibson is a good brand and so we are happy for the amount we paid. This Christmas was the first time I bought anything of value value on line. We were extremely happy with the all the prices and how quick we received our orders from overstock. We will definitely buy from here again.

I ordered this guitar for a 13 year old just starting to play. I had a relative who has played both acoustic and electric for years. He was impressed with the sound and the cost. The main plus was the strings are light and great for a beginner. His fingers will not get sore if he plays alot. Great buy and value. Thanks Overstock for quality merchandise at a great valaue. I have never been disappointed with any purchase made here.

It was here in a timely manner and As it is a Christmas gift I will not know until after Christmas if it was a hit but I am really satisfied with its quality.

I only started to learn guitar recently. For the money, it is a solid guitar. Might not sound as good as the other higher end models, but good enough for practice and learning.
