When I received the extra large pet bed, it was in a much smaller box than I expected. But, it is foam after all. When I opened the box, the bed popped right out, too. It was exactly as it appeared on the website, and what I was expecting.Bailee got right into it, laid down, and seemed to enjoy it right away. BUT, she was only 4 months old, and uses her paws an awful lot. She immediately tried "nesting" it. When she couldn't "nest" the fabric, she flipped the bed over (easy to do since it's lightweight foam) and "nested" the underneath. Needless to say, that didn't last long. She tore it apart in a couple days.Bailee is a great dane pup who is full of energy. I think it would have been a better purchase for her if I had waited until she was older and not so much the 'Marley-wannabe' puppy.I ended up having the foam re-made at a local foam factory, putting the cover back on, and now I'm actually going to glue the whole thing down to a lightweight piece of plywood or something. I think that will work better for the puppy stage. And keep my fingers crossed that this stage doesn't last too much longer!
I was surprised when the bed came that the bottom "pad" was only an inch thick. I have stone flooring and wanted a thicker pad. My 2 labs sleep together in it for part of the time. The sides are flexible but do support their heads. I hope the sides do not crush after a period of time. We have been using the bed for about a month now. I would have liked a water proof pad on the bottom also. Overall I am pleased with the bed and the dogs like it although they still like the couch too!

I bought this bed for our Giant Schnauzer but the minature and standard schnauzer like it too!! IIts so big it could fit all of them . I was concerned about the quality because the giant one usually tears things up. The bed has kept its shape and no one feels the need to chew on it. Maybe they realized its nice a comfy! The dogs also use the bolster around the bed as a headrest.. Its a great bed and should last a very long time.

From a dog's point of view, it is roomy and comfortable. The stand-up edging provides security and also acts as a pillow when needed. My two dogs (Yorkie and Scottish Terrier) love to snuggle together. Yet, it is large enough for my Wheaton Terrier by himself. As the owner, I was disappointed in the cover fabric. I believed it was going to be a more textured fabric and a deeper color than pictured. Also, I was disappointed that the bottom did not have a vinyl bottom. I place a rug underneath to keep it clean.

Great Dog Bed

No complaints about this dog bed at all except that it is a little pricey (then again, what isn't). The cover can come off for easy washing and it is very cushiony and comfortable. My dog instantly gravitated toward her new x-large doggy bed and she loves it.

I was disappointed with the quality of the item. It was cheaply made, and hardly any material at all. It also had a terrible chemical odor when I opened the box to take it out. The size is perfect for our German Shepherd, however, I was expecting it to be a thicker dog bed. It's made so thin that it's flimsy. Our Shepherd literally sometimes throws it around instead of lying in it. But as I mentioned before, it's the perfect size for her and periodically she does lay in it.

I bought this bed in hopes of getting my Golden Retriever off the couch. As a rule she has chewed on any bed I've gotten her in the past. She is 18 months old and 76lbs. She fits in the bed with room to spare. She can curl up or spread out and put her head on the side as a pillow. The bottom is on the thinner side so I put in an old quilt that she has grown fond of and she seems to like that. I'm not sure how I'll wash it yet as there isn't a zip off cover to remove. It's all one piece. Maybe just vacumn and spot wash?? Overall I like the bed. My dog is slowly taking to it vs the couch. It's a good size for a mid to large size dog.

My dog had this feather bed for about three years but it finally just kept exploding feathers everywhere and the cat was eating them. When I threw it out I thought he dog would hate me forever. The bed changed that! He is a big greyhound and the bed is really a great size for him! He loves it and is snuggled in it now. The price was a good deal for what you get. The cat likes it too. The get in it together!.

Online, the bed looks like it has thick faux-sheepskin lining, but in real-life it is a thin layer of flannel-like material -- not nearly as plush as it appeared. And the bed is more flimsy overall than the photo portrays. Needless to say, I don't think it's a good value.

The bed is a good price and it stands true to size; however, the quality isn't as good as the photo reflects. Not as plush as the photo. The lining isn't made of thick cushy material, but rather thin and flimsy instead.

We have a Weimeraner (107 #'s) and he loves his new bed. After the first wash it took me and my husband together to put the cover back on but it looked as good as new. My cousin was visiting with her dog and she promptly ordered a bed. I thought it was priced a little high but the $2.99 shipping made it a pretty good deal!

The photo of this dog bed looked very plush and solid and I ordered two as gifts for my son's dogs. When these beds arrived, they were flimsy and it is obvious to me that they are not going to last for any length of time for big dogs. What looked like lamb's wool or shearling is, in fact, a fabric type material that will not stand up to wash and wear. While it looked very nice, it was a disappointment when it arrived.
