I bought this for my husband and it has been working great. I'm not sure how humidors really work but you have to get distilled water and salt, let it sit for 6 hours..... there are a couple of things you have to do before you use it, but again maybe you have to do that with all humidors. He is not a big cigar smoker so this is perfect for him. The box is well made and he has'nt had any problems with it. I was a little nervouse before we bought it because it was inexpensive, but work totally happy with the purchase. It's not fancy but it works great. We are very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend. It would be a great gift along with a couple of cigars!

This is a great little box! it maintains 70% humidity all the time! i will definitely reccommend it to friends. I love the wood grain..

The humidor is over all a good value.. the color is a lot lighter than the picture so it looks artificial... the humidification device inside the humidor is garbage.. started to mold up after a week.. mold can ruin your precious cigars.. make sure to season the humidor before using the humidor... i'm happy because i paid overstock prices...

Forget the humidistadt and the hunidifier in this...neither will stay stuck to the lid for more than one week. I leave them in the bottom of the box. Well built otherwise, just chintzy.

This is a nice humidor!! After it is properly cured/prepared, and all adjustments are made, which takes a little time and care-- it works great and keeps the cigars to the correct levels of humidity--as long as you keep up with the humidifier, the moisture the hygrometer works well and keeps you informed of the humidity level. The burl wood looks great and is pleasant to have on display. I am very satisfied with this product. This is the second humidor I have ordeded from Overstock--both were made by Cuban Crafters and I am very satisfied with both. Thanks Overstock for the excellent deal too!!

Humidity disc gets moldy if too wet or dries out quickly if not wet enough. Doesn't really work. Otherwise, the box is of nice quality.

This was an excellent choice for an affordable humidor, size is perfect, lid has tight sealed fit make swoosh sound when closing. Keeps great humidity. Plenty of room for several cigars and keeps them fresh. I bought 2 and both of them were free of defects. Went to my local cigar shop and they were selling the same humidor for $60. Don't pay the store price when you can have it shipped to your door for a lot cheaper. Great product all the way around.

This humidor does not keep any moisture above normal ambient room moisture. I followed the instructions and checked the hygrometer which needed no calibration. I followed the directions which stated to fill the moisture thing with distilled water with a spray bottle. None of it worked. I bought my brother one as well and his didnt work either. When I ordered two they sent one. So I had to call O.

I agree with the other user who had trouble with the adhesive that holds the hygrometer in place. But other than that this is a great buy for those on a budget.

What a great little piece of equipment for the amateur cigar smoker! Or heck, maybe even for the connoisseur! The gauge does need some calibration and a bit of playing with, but that is to be expected. The box, the woodwork, the gauge, all beautiful and definitely a fine enough piece to be displayed anywhere! My husband was very happy with the purchase, he can fit around 25 cigars inside, and what an amazing deal too!

For the price paid it is exactly what I was expecting. The build quality is pretty solid and the smell is nice. The only issue I have is that the adhesive pieces used to put the actual humidifier in place as well as the hygrometer seem to be too strong or not quite strong enough. They fall from the lid of the box pretty frequently. Its not exactly a big deal and i'm probably just going to buy better pieces of velcro or super glue the pieces on so the crappy adhesive isnt a factor.

It took a while to stabilize the humidity, I ended up using a guitar humidifier in conjunction with the water pad that the humidor comes with. The humistat is suprisingly accurate (I cross-checked it with a digital one that I use for an acoustic guitar). The humistat and water pad are attached to the inside of the lid using adheasive-backed velcro pads. The adheasive completely separated from the velcro with my humidor, so I just set the water pad and humistat in the bottom of the humidor. I don't have too many cigars so the space that is taken up by the guage and water pad are not an issue for me, but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on storing the 25 cigars that this humidor can hold. The case is finished very nicely, the burl is close to what is pictured in the listing, and has a nice satin finish.

Excellent Humidor for this price. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to keep their cigars fresh on a budget.

Excellent product. Shipped on time and in perfect condition. Those buying this should be aware that the humidifier and gauge are attached via Velcro strips. I love this product and am excited to get it stocked with goodies now.
