Black and Gold Lacquerware Jewelry Box

In the pics this looks like a nice, wooden box. When you get it, it is glossy, plasticy, light and very cheap looking. I was really disappointed.

This box did not look anything like the picture. I gave it as a christmas gift, but almost thought of returning it, because it does look very cheap, and was not what I was expecting.

I thought this box was poorly made with cheap materials. The wood is very thin, the lacquer overly thick - likely to cover the fact that the wood is such poor quality. The lid does not have a decent fit to the bottom of the box. It is very loose fitting, so once you put the lid on the box and move the box around slightly the lid shifts and sits slightly askew. I'd expect the lid to at least have a slightly snug fit, this wasn't anywhere near close, it easily shifts around when attached. Sad to say, I returned this within 5 minutes of opening it.

I received this item this week and am pleased with the appearence and workmanship. I was disappointed with the size. I thought it was much bigger than what it is. I had planned on using it for my remote controls but will now find another use. Its a good buy just smaller than it looks on your web page.
