I bought this as a unique wedding gift and I haven't heard from the wedding couple yet but as I looked at the gift prior to wraping it, it was very nice. My only issue is that it didn't come with any paperwork/packing list or description of the product so I had to made one up using the description on Overstock.com.

I bought this globe for my husband; a friend gave me an idea of buying a globe and placing gemstones on all the countries we've visited as we travel a lot. It was so pretty that we were rethinking that idea, the surface is perfectly polished and simply beautiful. We went ahead with the rhinestones and they actually look great - it will be a conversation piece for our family for years to come.

My globe arrived and I was disappointed that the "gemstone" was mother of pearl. In the pictures on the site it looks like many different colors, when it arrived it is black and white. i am still debating on returning it. It does look well made, just not what I was expecting.

Absolutely beautiful and sold for much less than any other retailer as a matter of fact, this globe sells for over double this price in China.

I purchased this for my daughter and son-in-laws anniversary gift and was not disappointed in the least. It arrived promptly, very well packaged and is beautiful. My only issue was that no product description was included therefore not paying justice to the solid brass, the real gemstones and details of this product. The gift is being enjoyed by the whole family and strategically placed in their waterfront home where guests pay many compliments as well as "play" with it. I would recommend this product to anyone but be forewarned, even being aware of the dimensions may not prepare you for this much larger than expected and magnificient piece of art.

all I can say is OMG !!! I've seen these in markets in Florida & when I saw them available in Overstock I did not hesitate bueatiful, heavy & very rich looking. I would recommend this too everyone

These globes are fabulous. Gave one to my husband for his birthday and he and his mother sat there gushing over it, amazed at my find. We love it!
