I like my violin very much.The price was nice and it's brand new. It is a great item.

I bought this violin for Christmas and it was the perfect present but tuning it was hard to do by myself. Other than that it was extremely awesome and I play it all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has always w.anted to learn to play the violin...she plays the flute and sings. While this unit is visually pleasing, we are not sure of the sound or ability to tune. The strings are pulled to the side and there are no instructions at all as to how to finish putting it together or how to tune, etc. I guess most people who buy already know how to play etc. We bought a cd/dvd "how to use", but the book does not show how to put together or tune either. My daughter is trying to contact the music department at her college to see if they can help. On a budget...so going to a music store and spending $$$$$ to get up and going is not working at the moment. Even so, am an optomist and hoping that it will work out to her excitement level. If it does then we will begin saving for a real violin

Good starter instrument. Looks good as well, but you will need to get a bridge installed before use. Hard to keep in tune, but that may get better with more use.

Not worth the waste of time and/or money. There is an error with the pegs and the violin will not stay in tune. I was unaware of this until it was too late and Overstock was not willing to help out in any manner.
