I have had this Grill for over 12 years, with average to heavy summer time usage. This Grill is not just any ordinary grill. One foggy day here in Northern California I was out on the front porch getting ready to start the grilling of some bacon wrapped serloin steaks when out of no where the garden hose started pouring water from the sky. I left the grill outside to get inside from the cold wet waters. Upon the completion of the garden hose to the sky routine. I began grilling the meat, I looked below and seen a fair amount of water in the pan, I debated emptying the tray to start with it dry. I opted not to do this, because I seen the fill to line. (thought, what could possibly be filled to the fill line?) upon completing my grilling I emptied the tray. However once I got in and sat down to eat the feast cooked from the Coleman Road Trip. I was amazed at how moist and tender the meat had become, because of grilling this way. I have never stopped grilling the meat this way... The heat causes the tray to steam the meat and this is the key to making it tender and moist all at the same time. I will be retiring my Road Trip this year because of poor choices to not cover the unit last fall and part of winter because of hopes for better weather... I will replace the grill with a newer same model. I will miss the years I have spent grilling on this unit. My daughter was born and has been able to work this unit with my supervision. This grill is well worth the money and time invested into it. Portable, light weight, and very respectable to have at just about every outdoor event from camping to just ad-hoc weekends to the local park.Read More
