  • Does the job, needs a cord

    May 18, 2012

    tbyrdtx  from Taylor, TX, Rating:4.0

It's smaller than I thought, it's palm size, like an old transistor radio. Can't set it for continuous monitoring on batteries, they die in about a day. You have to buy a separate a/c adapter. I haven't gotten one yet, but I'm guessing $5-10 more for that.

  • These are great blankets

I ordered these to use as solar shields for my pop up camper. They are the perfect size to cover the top of each bunk end! I attached them at the four corners with a bungee cord, and put small, high strength clips at two intervals in the middle. Very great results! Lowered the temps inside by 10-15 degrees in FULL sun!

  • Good heavy duty blankets

    Mar 10, 2012

revalan  from South west Missouri- Ozark Mountains, Rating:4.0

These are good quality survival blankets. They are heavier than the standard metalized blankets. I use these in addition to my sleeping bag in 30 degree and below temps. I always have one below the bag and use another over top when camping or backpacking in freezing temps. They also make a great reflector and wind break when used by the camp fire. The grommets at the corners make them easy to tie up. They are light weight and take up just a little more space than the cheap metalized blankets. Very much worth the compromise.

This is a must have for the car, bug-out bag, pack, boat, or campfire. It's heat reflect properties are amazing. This blanket could save you life.
