I was looking for a good quality portable docking station that would provide decent sound without breaking the bank, and that is exactly what I got. Ideal for taking to the beach or on a picnic because it's not super expensive (so you're not constantly worried it might get wet/dirty/etc) and still provides good sound quality. Pros: built in carrier case with shoulder strap; decent sound; good value Cons: the adapter for my iPod nano didn't fit, but luckily I still had the one that came with my nano, and that worked fine; the a/c adapter has to be packed separately because it doesn't fit nicely in the case storage pocket

This item seems to be of very good quality however, I did not insert my iPod to sample the audio quality because I wanted a portable device that could be plugged into wall power and be in the carry case at the same time which this device does not allow. The FM radio function was a plus and a factor in choosing this product. The carry case is very nice and has protected pockets on the backside to carry your MP3 player. Overall, very nice portable player but did not meet my needs.

This unit was purchased for my husband's birthday with the idea that we could take these portable speakers in the boat with us. First of all, I was a little disappointed that my SanDisc MP3 player would not dock directly on the unit, and it didn't seem to work right at first with the input cable. The music would quit playing off and on. I almost sent it back, but decided to go ahead and give it to my husband and see if he could figure it out. Once we got it re-connected, it quit skipping, but there still seems to be a problem because it is cutting off the first two seconds of each song. The quality of the sound is good, since we really don't need anything too loud for the boat (might scare the fish!).

Love my iTrek Speaker System - This is my third charger/speaker system and this one is the best I've purchased or even looked at. Purchase this and you won't be sorry.
