I cannot review this based on listening to music, as I have only listened to audio books while traveling thus far. It's so simple and easy to use. I simply took my 1G card (borrowed from my digital camera), popped it in my laptop, and moved over my audio books. The 1G card pops into this device which plugs directly to my cigarette lighter in my car. I tune my radio to one of the listed stations (it took three stations to find the clearest one) and there you go. I do have to turn my radio up a lot louder in order to hear the book, so this might be a negative if you're listening to music. The description of this device can be a bit confusing as it sort of sounds as though it includes 1G of memory. It does not. However, you can buy a card for not too much if you shop around. Or, you can always just plug in your MP3 player. I chose this device for the ease of just having one thing plugged in. Less flopping and sliding around in the car that way.
The order was expedited promptly by Overstock and I received the item well packed and with all accessories. The transmitter works well on the selected frequency and I get no interferences, nor any noise. The sound through my Harmon Kardon based car system is good and clean. It however is lacking higher trebles. I did not tested, but according to my experience, the cut off is around 5-7KHz. I am happy with this transmitter, especially after trying few others. Also, convenience of using SD, MicroSD, memory sticks or any other portable player with mini jack, is big plus.
After I received the IQFM I loaded a 126meg Sd chip with music. It played well and I was happy with it. So when I loaded a 512 meg chip and tried to insert it there was no playing and the IQFM just showed no device. I have tried to contact the vendors about the issue and have not received a response. It says there are live chats but I have never seen one.
