I have the 80gb ipod 5th generation and the remote does not controll my ipod. Maybe I vhave bought the vwrong equipment?

Seems to work fine, however, if you want to use this with your stereo system, you'll need to purchase a USB charger in order to plug the cradle into power. The cradle works fine as is, but your ipod will be using it's own battery power unless you are connected to the USB power adaptor which is not what's included. What is included are two chargers which have the connectors which plug into the bottom of the ipod, but if it's in the cradle, it is not possible to use those included chargers at the same time as the cradle. I would recommend that at the same time you order this, you also purchase a USB ac power adaptor with a USB cord which has the USB connectors at both ends. One end goes to the Ipod cradle, the other end plugs into the USB power adaptor. Then, it's perfect! Sound quality is perfect!

I must have mistaken this charger dock to be something that I acan plug into the wall. However, it is only for a computer and firewire hookup. I do not have a personal computer. I think i might return it.

I was a little disappointed with the dock. When I plug the A/V cable into the back of it, it was VERY quiet on my stereo. So I plugged the A/V cable into the top of the iPod instead, and it worked fine. It just kind of defeats the purpose of the dock. I was also disappointed that the dock doesn't have a place to hook up power, aside from a USB cord into a computer. I was hoping to be able to hook it up to my stereo and hook it up to power at the same time. The A/V cable alone works fine, and the other power cords seem to work fine. They are just not compatible with the dock. The only reason for me to use the dock is to hook it up to my computer (which I could already do with a USB), or use the remote control feature. The remote works pretty well. I just wish that all of the items in the kit were compatible with the dock.

For the price, it's a great buy. You get the cradle and the car charger. The quality is average, but too Taiwan.

We bought an i-pod from a friend without the add-ons. This package had all we need to record from the computer and charging ability from anywhere. Meets our needs.

I have an 80gig Ipod classic. First the neg. 1. The remote is a IR remote so you must be within a certain distance and facing the the unit to make it work. 2. You are going to have to buy an adapter usb wall charger unless you plug in into your computer full time. (they should include that in the package) Now the postive. 1. This unit can run off the power of the ipod so you can take it with you and still be able to have a remote control of your pod 2. It comes with a bunch of great chragers (wall and car) just missing the usb adapter 3. It works well as long are you are within the 30-40 ft range 4. The sound is great Well thats about it. I actually bought a second one for my sister who loves it. Hope this helped.

Overall this is a great value! I agree with other reviews about wishing the dock charged in the wall. Other than that, everything works great and was really easy to use. You really get a lot of versatile pieces considering the price.

This is the most inexpensive set out there of its kind. The cradle alone cost an average of $30. This set it a good deal and I recommend it to all. :o)

it came in the mail in a timely manner, everything works great and it came with a battery for the remote.

This is perfect and incredibly useful to me. The home cradle is great, but the car charger changed my life! Now I don't have to stop listening to my iPod's music, podcasts and audiobooks because the battery ran out (with Miami traffic and how much time I have to spend driving, this is VITAL). I also didn't expect it to work so well considering how affordable it was. Highly recommended!

I like this product and all that it came with except for one thing....You have to change the batteries everyday!!! I thought it was just an old battery so I bought a new one. Same thing. 24 hrs later the battery is dead.One option is to open it up and leave it like that ...thats why I only give it 4 stars overall.

Not one piece of this package worked. At first I thought that it was my iPod and I tried 2 of my friends with this equipment and it still didn't work. A complete waste of money!!!

This set has pretty much any accessories that you may need with an iPod!

Unfortunately this unit wasn't quite what I expected. I couldn't tell from the photos that the unit had to be plugged into a computer to charge the iPod. I was hoping for an independent charging system. I don't like to leave my computer on just to charge the iPod. The car charging feature is useful however.

It surely was a great pick for the price !! I gifted this to my friend as he just bought a new ipod - so he was really happy to have it and it works well too !! So nothing relieves you more than a gift thats appreciated !

I purchased this product basically for the cradle so I could have a stand for it at work. Now I can charge my ipod from work or in the car also. Not so much use for the adapters.

Make your day so easy when it come to charging your i pod. No need for the computer. Ear plug better then one that came with i pod.
