Excellent Product
Apple-certified iDeck Integrated Cassette iPod Adapter replaced my old FM Transmitter. I use it in a 2005 Toyota Camry with a JBL sound system. Unfortunately, this older JBL system doesn't have an auxiliary input, so an adapter is necessary if one wishes to use an iPod. The sound is much better than what I could get when using the old FM Transmitter. Actually, it is very good. The adapter looks good and doesn't obstruct access to any important controls of the system. Only one control - FM2 - can't be reached when the adapter is inserted. The iPod is being charged while inserted. An auxiliary power outlet in this model of Camry is very close. On the whole, it looks like a cell phone cradle - very neat. The adapter is also equipped with an auxiliary input, so you probably could play sound from sources other than iPod. The only complained I have is that it takes some effort to insert the iPod into the cradle and connect but, frankly, it not a big issue - it's just a matter of a few second if use use both hands. Please read instructions carefully before inserting the adapter. If you insert it incorrectly (as I did at first), it won't work. I got frustrated when trying to make it work and even wanted to send the gadget back but then I reread the instructions and everything proved simple. I highly recommend the adapter to anyone who needs it.

I was a little afraid to order something like this cuz its something I've never seen before and ordering stuff online always makes returns a hassle but I am so glad I bought it!This is really great, I can't say enough about the genius of this product b/c it eliminates the clutter and ugliness that most tape adapters have with the string hanging out. The only time you have to use the charger is when you may be low but otherwise, you can leave it unplugged and be wire-free. It also comes padding to ensure that the plastic holder doesn't scratch up the back of your ipod 4 different sizes to fit an iphone, ipod, itouch, etc. And there's a function of using your speakers to talk through your phone...haven't tried it yet but that is also awesome feature to have.In summary, this has the benefits of a static free quality of tape adapters and the wire-free look of FM transmitters. Best of both worlds, its just too bad that they do such little advertising here that people don't know about it. Looks like its a Korean company. They should learn to promote here cuz this product is fantastic!The only reason I put a 4 for the value is cuz the price is a bit expensive for a tape adapter...but I don't mind too much cuz it was well worth having it.

Great sound and works well!
The sound quality is excellent and there is no need for scanning for an available frequency.Works with my Video 5th Generation and Touch 2G. I have an older model Honda with cassette player and CD and so iDeck works like a charm!

Plays Ipod great. But at low volume the device makes a noise as loud or louder than the music being played.

Do not buy this item!
When I first got the product it worked very well and I loved it! After about a month or so the product was not working at all. I don't know what happened but its not useable at all. I even tried using it in a different car to see if it was my car rejecting it but it still doesn't work. I am extremely disappointed in the product and would not recommend this to any buyer!

great ipod adapter...finally!
I've been through 3 fm transmit products to play my ipod and each resulted in poor quality sound and would always drift off the fm station. It was so frustrating that I just stopped using them. And now I have finally found the perfect product that can allow me to use my ipod in my car. My older model vehicle radio comes with a cassette player (and cd) but has no plug in or adapters for exterior players. Lucky me surfing Overstock.com one day I came across this cassette adapter. The sound quality is superb plus it also charges the ipod. It woke up my doleful factory car stereo. I highly recommend this product even at this somewhat high price.

Good Product
I've had my eye out for a product that would play the ipod in the car without wires for some time. This product is perfect for what I was looking for, very simple. The ipod is displayed right in front so you can skip a song etc. If you have an older car with a cassette player and want to use your ipod this product is for you.

iDeck Integrated Cassette iPod Adapter
I have a saab 9-5 and this was a welcome addition. Its way better than my belkin radio transmission player or having to deal with the loose cord to plug in the ipod. It doesnt leave my car and is very easy to use. Had no issues with sound or anything. If you have a slanted dash, or if your dash is very compact or the cassette is recessed you may have issues. Looks great too.
