This is second 2700 I have purchased for the two media rooms that my wife and I have. The upconverting to 1080p makes every input source look great. I tried a Pioneer but the Yamaha 2700 is better and much easier to use. I am a techno geek but I struggled with the Pioneer. I would recommend the Yamaha RX-V2700 to everyone and I am not alone. Check out the AVS Forum and you will find that I am in good company making this recommendation. I have no problem purchasing refurbished equipment and the price and service offered by Overstock made this a no brainer purchase.
This powerful receiver is exceptionally easy to setup, and it's automatic speaker adjustment feature is phenomenal. It has more than enough power for a home theater, and the flexibility to meet simple and custom A/V installations. A well-planned and well-executed piece of equipment.
