This receiver is awesome. It's last year's model but it doesn't feel out of date at all. It doesn't support HDMI 1.3 but if you do your research you'll see that you probably don't need HDMI 1.3 anyway. The audio quality is great. I have it hooked up to some pretty big floorstanding speakers and it has more than enough power to drive them. The video switching works very well. I only need one single HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV, it looks very clean. I have my DirecTV hooked up to the receiver with an HDMI cable and my original XBOX is plugged into the receiver with component cables and optical audio. The receiver does a great job converting the component video to HDMI, I don't notice any loss in quality. Overall, this is a great value for a receiver. I highly recommend.
