I had broken all the pins on the PCMCIA slot for my wireless card and my older laptop had no place for an internal wireless adapter, so I thought I would have to buy a new notebook,to be able to go wireless. Fortunately, this simple and inexpensive USB adapter got me back in the game. Windows XP easily "saw" the device and self installed it: I highly recommend using the Windows Zero Configuration Service to manage this type of device. The unit is small enough to be unobtrusive and, with a 90 degree adapter, it lays flat against the back of the laptop. I"ve been up to 500 feet away from my router and signal strength is still 100%, so I think coverage is pretty good. I highly recommend this device as an inexpensive(under $30) alternative to other types of wireless adapters. Also, at 54Mbps, its speed is more than adequate for most needs.

This little adapter is exactly what I wanted. As always, merchandise arrived quickly. Priced very reasonably. I had it up and going within 15 minutes. Only trouble I had was putting in network key, which was my fault, I just forgot where to look for it. Great device. I have a direct connection in my room but another computer in the house couldn't access internet without a 25 ft cable, so I purchased this adapter and internet connected great, no cords to trip over.

My Siamese cats damaged my desktop wireless adaptor and the only phone jack in the room. Since I had a wireless router and needed a working desktop with Internet access, I immediately searched on Overstock for a usb router. I usually read all the customers' reviews and decided that this is the one. It came earlier than I expected (wtihin 2 days of ordering) and the software was so easy to install. Once I plugged in the usb device, it recognized my wireless network and my desktop was online. I highly recommend this device to anyone searching for a user-friendly device and has a pretty good range. My desktop is about 500 ft away from the wireless router.

U can't beat the price. Others cost $40 or more for the same performance. I bought 2 for my kids desktops and they work better than I anticipated! Great purchase!

Didn't know at first how well this product was going to work, but after messing around with the setup (other reviewers are right, there is no contact info for tech support--you have to figure it out yourself), it works very well. I am able to connect to my sister's WLAN from her apartment TWO FLOORS above me with no disruption in service!! I had doubts that this would be possible, but I am happy to report it DOES work. Would recommend this to anyone who has been able to successfully install products themselves without the help of tech support.

The adapter works great. I plugged it in and within 5 minutes had it connected to my wireless router. It has been on for the past month with no glitches. Well worth the price.

The software stoped working after a while and I couldnt get a good network connection to stick after that. Its worth the money to buy a nicer one if you have a good internet connect.

Purchased this for my old gateway computer to hook up to my wifi network. Computer recognized it and I set it up for my wifi network without any problems.
