Im was pleasently surprised at the quality of the "Wireless Audio FM Transmitter for iPod/MP3/CD" for the price! I had no trouble finding a station that worked the first time, and it worked great on a recent trip out of state. I'm buying one for my daughter too! Thanks for always coming through on your products.
I tried 5-6 different FM transmitters. All within the $10-$30. This is by far the best one I have found. It works great and is easy to use. You just need to scan for an appropriate station. Works great in my car and my house. It works as good as a strong radio station. You will never get perfect quality with an FM transmitter. It does filter noise is quiet when you have your device so you hear minimal static. I use this transmitter on my phone/mp3 player. I also use it as my car head set for making calls. I hear my conversation on my car speaker and my phone mic pics up my voice with pretty good clarity. The device is compact and has a phone like cable that an old school phone like cable that works well. The only con is that they could have made the device look more sleek/modern.
I thought it would work better. My friend has one that works really great but this kind somehow doesn't seem to pick up the radio frequencies very well. I get a lot of static or low volume when my radio is turned up loud. It also doesn't work well on road trips.
There aren't many bells and whistles to this one, but it has worked great! I have not encountered many places that I couldn't get it to work. I recently took a road trip of 1000 miles and used it the entire way. The sound quality has been good. The only down side is that it requires batteries. The better/higher quality batteries do tend to last a little longer, but adds to the expense of operation.
this product is ok when its not staticy or changing the batteries all the time batteries that came with lasted less than a day bought better brand batteries they lasted a day and a half, should;ve made it plug in a power point in car
This was a waste of time and money. The battery only lasts 2 days max, even after I replaced it. Sound quality lacks compared to similar devices. This product was NOT easy to use! Please don't make the same mistake I did by purchasing this item.
Good product at a good price. For the money, this is a very good buy. I have had little or no interference/fade as long as the batteries are not low. Different set frequencies allow for ease of switching channels on your audio gear. Switch on side is a bit small, but not difficult. Good battery life. I have not used this in the car, but on the computer and with my audio system for tv/movies/music on wireless headphones it has worked very well. I am also very satisfied with the broadcast range, as I may receive the signal in other rooms fairly clearly. Overall I recommend it for ease of use, price and flexibility. I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works!
Forget buying expensive FM transmitters...this one is great! I have no problem finding a station that works, and the sound is great. Usually I'm able to use just one station the entire time. I recently traveled from Maine to Virginia and was able to get reception the entire way on one station. The buttons on the side that change the frequency are a little small and you can't change it while you're driving (or at least you shouldn't), but other than that, this is definitely a great transmitter. Don't buy one of the more expensive ones.
If you live in big city like L.A. this transmitter won't work to great in your car becuase of all the radio stations. I tried it in the car and on every frequency option you have there's interference. I use mine at work with a small FM radio and it seem to work great. No interference at all. If you live in one of those small towns I'd suggest this product but if you live in a large city with alot of radio frequency's don't expect this product to work that great in the car. In your home or office it should work pretty good.
My husband loves this little toy. He uses it at work and in his truck. Easy to use and works great. A great way to improve the functionality of your mp3 player!
I went on a road trip for over 5 hours, and not once could we find a single station that was clear (and we were constantly changing them). It is also difficult to change a station if you are driving because it requires moving little switches on the side.
This is exactly what I needed. Because it takes batteries instead of requiring an external power source, it hooks into the computer as easily as a mp3 or cd player (in my experience, those that require external power usually recieve mega interference from the usb hookup). It transmits on an impressive number of frequencies and I have had excellent luck getting a fuzz-free connection. And it is less expensive than other models that work no better (if as well).
I got it today and it is working as designed.
Didnt work as well as I hoped - I would recommend getting something a little better
I am amazed at how well and easily the Wireless Audio FM Transmitter for iPod/MP3/CD works. I had no problem finding a radio station that picked up the signal, and although the sound is not as strong as the radio station's, I still find this product to be excellent. This is my second order from Overstock, and have been very pleased both times. Keep it up.
Never seemed to transmit a strong enough signal. Sound was never clear. Tried new batteries and different frequencies. Didn
I have not used my transmitter excessively. The few times I did use it, it seemed touchy to placement in my car. It was staticy unless placed in just the right spot. It worked OK, and it is a great value. I continue to use it and it works well enough to be worth the money.
I live in Nashville and couldn't find a free signal for wireless audio. Affordable, easy to use and figure out, just didn't work for me.

Ok, Here's what iv'e found: When I started to use it for the first time, It was rainning and I had my wipers on delay. The transmitter and mp3 player were on the passenger seat within the 3 meter recommended distance. Each time the wipers were actuated, it created interferance along with other normal interferance noises. I picked up the player and transmitter and held them close to the radio. It seemed to do the trick.Volume also got better. So, now i have the transmitter "velcroed" above the radio and the player is pretty much velcroed on the radio. I also aquired an extention cord with a male plug on one end and a female plug on the other end. That way my passengers can be the DJ with ease or I can just have the player on the seat if desired. It doesn't eliminate all of the interferance but the main thing is that the transmitter needs to be as close to the radio as possible. You'll see an improvement.
This is the second iPod transmitter I tried. I returned the other brand. This product works well and is easy to use. It's best to experiment with the frequency in your area and understand that the quality will not be as good as powered speakers, for example, but it works OK and is worth the small cost for sure.
