I mostly ordered this for the stand. The extra stuff, was a nice bonus. Most stands require removal of the smart cover or other protective coverings. I have the smart cover with a back on it, (not Apple brand), and my iPad 2 still fits without removing. One of the thicker leather portfolios, may not fit. It's stable enough to use on the bed. It works great in portrait or landscape mode. I bought one for each of my kids. It's a great buy. As a previous reviewer said, "not made by Apple", but I'm sure the price would be triple, if it was. I'm quite ok with that.
