Yeah I paid nearly 60 dollars but I got plenty for it and I see now the price has gone up since I bought it, and honestly its worth even more because I priced these and other brands and this is the best deal I could find. It plugs and goes just fine, there is No learning curve, its simple easy and so far is working like a dream ( had it for a month now) so yes, definitely worth the purchase and Overstock sent this quickly, they aren't always that quick, but on this item, it worked out fine and the only reason I won't give it a 5 star is because its small but bulky and I think it would have deserved 5 stars if they had miniaturized it just a bit more so it would be less bulky but its fine otherwise, I have it on a coffee table by my chair where I keep my laptop and I run backups weekly and it sits right there doing its thing and giving me a sense of security. :)

I found this product easy to install with software preloaded in the device. It has taken much of the storage burden from my pc and laptop, while using only a small percentage of space in the new hard drive.. The MyBook product is attractive and fits anywhere an upright book would fit. It is working well and was a bargain. I'm very happy.

this product was very easy to install and use. I use mine through a wireless hub and have excellent results. I received it in a timely fashion and had no problems with installation or use. All the instuctions were easy to follow and very useful. I would recommend this product to anyone and the use of it would be for a primary backup which could be stored off-site and brought in on a weekly or monthlh basis to backup small systems;.

Purchased this drive because I ran out of space on my internal hard drive and 160GB external and this one turned out to be one of the best ones I have ever used. Easy installation, fast, and extremely quiet. I highly recommend it, although it is not the best for traveling (a little bulky and requires power input). Great for backups.

Overstock.com has never failed me. I received exactly what I asked for. I have own the 500 Gb harddrive for 2 months and no problems. Only problem I had was the courier--they through it over my back fence and I found it a week later with no apparent damage

This was a good buy. Despite some of the reviews stating they weren't able to register this product with WD, I had no problems registering it and even have a years warranty with them now.This item works with the Windows 7 Ultimate (build 7000), but as of yet, I haven't been able to get it to work with the RC build 7100. But I was able to download the software so I can make my own installation CD.

I had no problems with it. A 5 year old could set up the installation for this. I've had it for about 3 weeks now. Still as good as the day I got it.

I can finally have the huge jump drive i need to store all my extras. From itunes music and movies to my personal files. It does not take up alot of desk space, it does slow my computer down a bit, but i think thats because i have too much stuff on there already! but overall, i really enjoy this because of the price. I got it for 55% off and i do not care that its refurbished! it works great and i REALLY needed a hard drive, so buying from the O made it VERY easy!

I was a little worried cause this is a refurb, but so far, so good. Of course, one should review it a year out, not a few weeks after delivery! Still, it was a fantastic price and so far it's running just fine. Looks like new as well...added bonus! I will a little disappointed that the backup software that's included with the drive is 30-day limited trial copy. Otherwise, perfectly satisfied!

this doesnt have oftware and crashes easy. i couldnt get it to install. When i finally did it went down with all my software on it and now its lost forever. It should have software atleast.

Pros: Easy to hook up and use. Cons: I had to reformat it to hold a full image of my C drive and lost all the applications that came with the drive. Since it is refurbished you cannot register it for support; therefore you cannot reload the apps. Partly my fault I guess....

This back up drive was so easy to install and the software that comes with it worked flawlessly. Even refurbished, the drive looks and works just like brand new. I am very pleased with this purchase.
