I bought 2 of these and being on a tight budget i thought i'd take a chance. I am so glad that i did! They work great and if you have an older PC. I had to modify 2 BIOS settings i would like to share if anyone has any problems with them. Older Bios on PC's have a problem with newer IDE drives sometimes as Bios's are outdated so the settings i have may help you if you run into trouble. 1. make sure the Bios lists your drive. if it does not then you should adjust the jumper settings until it does. i had to use cable select as some people will have to use Master. If it still does not show up, you should order a new Ide Cable it could be faulty. 2. if it picks up on the drive and you install windows sometimes it stalls after the first reboot. i tried XP and it partitioned the drive and wrote the setup files, but then it rebooted and said no OS detected. if that happens go into the BIOS and change 2 things. The first thing is to select your hard drive that is shown on the Bios screen and press Enter. Access Mode will be listed and you need to change this to Large. Some can change it to LBA, if that doesn't work. The next step is under Advanced BIOS. When you click that you will see IDE Function Setup. Hit enter and you will see IDE DMA Transfer Access. You need to change it to disable. When you reboot it should be fine!

I received the hard drive in less than a week -- must faster than expected. Data transfer to the hard drive was extremely quick. It took my older drive 8 hrs to move the data over, with this drive it took about four hrs.

Products were fine, but the description was a bit misleading. Having 250G and 80G in the description led me to believe it was a 250G hard drive. It was an 80G which was not sufficient for my needs. I had to return the items. Sucked that Overstock hammered me for nearly $$$ to return their items unused.
