I only had this phone for about 2 months before the battery started not to hold its charge and I couldn't be on the phone long before it would start beeping its warning that the phone was about to die. I am not usually a long conversationalist and this was a disappointment. I really liked the phone but when selling a refurbished item, I feel the product should be fully tested, not just plugged in and say ok it works. Try giving it a full charge, then leave it off the charger for a day at least. The phone I have now stays charged for a couple of days.

I've had this phone for a couple years, no problem with sound quality. Everything about it has been good except for the battery life. It has to be set on the charger as soon as your done using it. Half an hour off and the battery is dead. I give it 2 stars only because the other features are great, but that battery drainage is a big issue for me.

The ease of use and the distance the phone can go from the base is very good. However, the battery life is miserable. I can't leave the phone off the charger for more than 20 to 30 minutes before the battery is almost used completely and starts beeping.

I recently purchased this phone for my mother. She was having problems with her older Vtech phone with the battery and not being able to hear the person on the other end. I bought this one and hope it would be a great buy. She charged it for a full day before programming it and using it. The first day she was having problems with it. She also said that sometime when you push a button, it will not function. I do not plan to return it, I figured that she could use it as a backup phone in another room at her house. I will buy her a new phone and hope it functions properly.

I read a review that said the sound quality of this phone was poor. I am a really unpicky person, so I bought the phone anyway. I can not even hear people when they call me on this phone. I will be returning it. Do Not buy this phone!

I'm writing this review on October 27, 2008. I purchased this phone on July 30, 2007 and have been unhappy with it for the last six months.The phone has developed a habit of losing it's connection to the base. When the phone is picked up from it's cradle and I press the button to talk, there is no dial tone. The handset will read "searching for base" or "unable to connect." I must unplug the phone then plug it back in to be able to dial a number or speak on the handset.At first this behavior was intermittent, maybe once a month. Now it happens every two days. This is unacceptable in any phone made in the twenty-first century.Also, the battery life on this phone is laughable. The phone loses it's charge COMPLETELY after being removed from it's cradle overnight. A twenty minute call also drains the phones battery to empty.Today I am buying a new phone. It won't be Vtech.BEWARE.

This phone is ok......i expected 10 ringtones but there's less. When I leave a message on my answering machine for callers, my voice does not sound clear. Other than that, no problems.

Phone works great, easy to operate and the answering machine also is simple to put in announcement .. I really like it!!!

The playback of recorded messages is unclear and somewhat garbled. I am disappointed in that feature as well as the volume control, which seems either too loud or too soft. Otherwise, the phone was easy to set up and looks nice. This phone was "reconditioned" which may or may not account for the mediocre answering device and sound.

This phone is convenient and digital. It works well and I have no complaints. It's lightweight and stylish.

There are only 6 ringtones, not `10 and they aren't very different from each other, but regardless this phone is a good value. The sound quality is great, and the handset speaker-phone comes in very handy.

The phone is easy to set up and I like the slim design of the phone. It has all the features you would need for a home office: mute, speakerphone, answering machine and caller ID. Sound quality and range on this phone are good. The only feature that is less than great is the battery life of the phone. In a typical 8 hour work day, if you're taking calls pretty regularly and attending one to two 1-hour conference calls, by 3:30 PM your battery is low and needs recharging. (starting your day at 8AM). Not hard to overcome if you're close to the base and are consistent about replacing the phone on the base when you are not on the phone.

I really like this phone, it's easy to use and easy to set up. The only reason I didn't rate it higher Overall is because the battery doesn't seem to hold its charge very long. But that can be replaced, so it's not a big complaint. The quality of audio seems to be good and it doesn't get the level of 'static' noise our old phone did. For the price I paid for this phone and how it has been working for us, I'm very happy with it.
