I just bought this so it maybe too late to be asking questions. I assume a power cable is included but there is no mention of any other material such as manual or remote which would have come with a new TV. Are they coming with this purchase or should I be looking elsewhere to obtain same. Thank you.

Set up was easy, added apps with no problem but HuluPlus was added after an auto update and won't quite work. It freezes. Netflix and others works fine. The sound is loud enough for my use which is in the living room.Read More
I got this tv because it had every thing you could want in a tv. I need a tv with wifi. I need something for my sons room he 2. He loves to watch the backyardagains on Net-flicks. So i wanted something nice compact and simple. It filled all my needs. It arrived packaged in the original book with all its listed parts and undamaged. I hooked it up. It had an easy set up that walked you threw the set up step by step on the screen. You have to do little inputting answer to question during the setup and registration. The longest part of the set up was when the tv had scan all the channels. The net-flick set up was simple have enter the on screen code in the computer at the net-flicks website. The picture on cable and net-flick is breath taking the only negative with the tv is the sound it is low. The tv volume has to be over 50% to be heard. That's the only reason i gave it 4 stars. I diffidently considering buying a Vizio as my next tv. Plus you simply cant beat the price and quality.Read More
if i need anything i wil go to overstock it was easy to track came on time and the tv worked grreatRead More
My computer, TV, DVD/CD audio/video equipment and cool Smart Cell Phones are my toys, my major source of entertainment and enjoyment. Just as soon as I declare that I don't need another piece of electronic equipment, I somehow find myself scoping out the cool items on Overstock.com. I am a long time customer of Overstock and I really must admit I have never been disappointed in the products I purchased and am always amazed of how fast the the shipping is and many times free shipping. I was especially excited to find out that there is such a thing as WiFi HDTV LED TV and had to have it. The LED TV is everything as it is described on the product description and the lack of understanding is on me. I guess I was thinking WiFi ready meant it was like a online computer. The WiFi application "widgets" are not more then the "apps" I have on my Iphone and pretty much work the same where many are free and many require a paid membership. Having said that; I really like being able to watch Netflix steaming content rather then via my laptop connected to my TV. Now and then it will freeze up and just get stuck and you have to turn the TV off and back on again for it to clear itself, and it works again. I guess it gets overwhelmed like a computer does at times. All in all, no big deal and the price is GREAT. The CONS on this TV is the sound. The sound is awful and it's not easy to attached an external sub woofer or system that will give it some bass. I had to wire it through my receiver, which I was trying to avoid originally. The remote control device is a bit like a cheap toy but does what it is supposed to do. The key selects are not well oriented and hard for me to see. So Good for the money, attractive to the eye, the viewing media is great, a little bit clumsy and hard on the ears without external sound source. !!! Could you say that again ins a deeper voice tone??? LOLRead More

LCD TVs vs Plasma TVs
Flat-screen TVs seem to be everywhere. For you, the choice may seem like a toss-up between plasma TVs and LCD TVs. These competing technologies each have advantages, so it's important to consider your specific needs before purchasing a flat-screen TV. If you are highly knowledgeable, you may want to consider the more technical specifications of LCD and plasma TVs. This is a fast-moving technology, so the advantages of each technology may soon even out with one another. Until then, here are some facts that may help you with the choice between plasma and LCD TV technology. Price differences. While price is important, it doesn't tell the whole story when comparing LCD and plasma. In the past, plasma TVs were slightly less expensive than LCD TVs of the same size, and the price differential became greater as the size of the television increased. The gap in price has narrowed between flat-screen technologies, though. Price is probably the least important factor, especially since you can find good deals on both plasma TVs and LCD TVs. Use. How you use your TV matters. Plasma TV screens are prone to "burn-in," a problem in which still or static images can be more or less permanently imprinted on the screen. This is of particular concern if you play video games, which tend to display static images for long periods of time in the same location on the screen. Fortunately, newer plasma TVs are less vulnerable to burn-in. If you plan to use your flat-screen TV for video games or other static images, LCD TVs may be a better choice. Environmental considerations. LCD TVs use an average of one-third to one-half as much energy as a plasma TV of the same size. The difference comes from the different lighting technologies. If you are concerned about your energy consumption, LCD is a greener choice. As technology improves, plasma TVs may improve their energy consumption. Lifespan. When early models of LCD TVs and plasma TVs were compared, LCD had the longer lifespan. But plasma technology has improved, and plasmas now boast a lifespan equal to LCDs. Most flat-screen TVs claim around a 60,000-hour lifespan. Depending on your usage, this means your flat-screen TV should last 20 years or more. The only parts of an LCD TV that wear out are the bulbs that illuminate the LCD screen. On a plasma TV, the bulbs will also go out before the screen does. Size and weight. LCD TVs are typically much lighter and less bulky than plasma TVs of the same size. Plasma TVs use glass for their screens, which is heavier and more fragile than the plastic used for LCD TVs. When mounting a large flat-screen TV on a wall, use a flat-screen TV mount and be sure that the wall can support your TV's weight. Picture. Both LCD TVs and plasma TVs produce amazing high-definition picture quality. Plasma TVs typically display blacks more clearly and show crisper detail during fast-moving programming, like sporting events. LCD TV technology is catching up, though, and LCD TVS usually offer greater native screen resolution than plasma TVs. This means more pixels per square inch, for a sharper overall picture. LCD TVs can lose picture quality when viewed at an angle. Some models do better than others on this, so be sure to do your research on any LCD TV's viewing angles.
