Vizio L37HDTV 37-inch LCD HDTV (Refurbished)

This was the 1st time I've ever used overstock.com and I was not disappointed. I love the TV. Its easy to use and thre speakers sound great. The picture is exceptional even though I haven't yet received my HD receiver.

Much time was spent researching Plasma vs. LCD vs. Projection, sizes, brands, and of course prices. My husband is thrilled with the Vizio 37"-LCD. I am thrilled with the price. Although refurbished, the TV arrived in it's original packaging with all manuals. There were some marks, however nothing that disrupts the viewing. *Keep in mind, the television is refurbished...do not expect brand new. If you want brand new...spend brand new money. Otherwise a 37" LCD shipped to your door for under $800 is a steal. The price is low because it is not a 'big brand' name. However the quality has not suffered any. Visual - crisp, clear, and beautiful colors (with an HD signal...I gave 4-stars on visual because for a regular signal you see almost a lag in movement...annoyed me very much until I realized that it does not happen with the HD channels). Features - has Split Screen & Picture-In-Picture. The split screen has been put to the test by my husband and son by playing a PlayStation game while watching TV. Furthermore, they played both a PlayStation AND an X-Box game at the same time! There are a multitude of connections behind and alongside the television. All hidden as not to detract from the asthetics. Sound - the TV has actual settings for different sound effects as if there were a surround system attached (i.e has settings for Concert Hall, Theatre, Surround Sound, etc.). Great option for someone who does not have a surround sound system. Same affect...no additional wiring! However, as stated above...many connections available if you do chose to hook-up a surround sound system. Child-Safety - the buttons for volume control, channels, and power are slightly tucked underneath to keep grubby little fingers from powering on and off, changing your channel, and/or playing with the volume. Designed by a parent I'm sure :-) Great sturdy base for those who may like to rock the TV back & forth. And thin enough to push far back on your entertainment center / TV stand so that the kids do not pull it down on themselves. Great purchase whether you decide to buy new or used. In either case it will be hundreds cheaper than any big brand name for the same quality.
