The product was awful. Picture was barely visible. There were extreme amounts of static. You can install the drivers on windows vista/7 however. just google bt878 driver. BUT i do NOT recommend this product. As the card was made in 2003, due to old age it seems to have defects. you will NOT get a full refund when you return because I guess awful picture quality is NOT a defect? You can buy an HD tuner for $10 more on tigerdirect which works wonders. I will never buy from overstock again.

  • Able to game again

I have a 2008 Mac Pro which had an ATI 5770 and that card has performed well for years but I play a lot of intense games and the 5770 was just not able to play Dragon Age Inquisition. I found a benchmark on www.********.com showing this card, a natively supported 7950 and a variety of flashed graphics cards. Many of the flashed graphics cards performed slightly better and were slightly less expensive however they merely had a 60 day warranty. I find value in the length of warranty available and so I was only interested in the 7950 and this card. The 7950 was for sale on mackerels.com with an offer to mail in my 5770 after I purchased the 7950 for a bit of a rebate. That would have made the cost of that card roughly 2/3 the cost of this card but I decided that I wanted to highest performing, natively supported card for my computer. Although I paid a premium for this card, I can say that this card has provided all of the things I was looking for. There were no drivers in Mac OS,...

  • Perfect for adding a monitor when no VGA there

Follow the directions and this will work perfectly to add a monitor where there is no VGA port available.

  • Works great in linux

I ordered this product to replace a similar one that I had for over 10 years before it died. The replacement worked even better than the one I was replacing. One note, I ordered this for use on an Ubuntu Linux system. It is not supported by Windows Vista or Windows 7.

  • Decent Video Card

Its ok. Seems to be able to play solitaire at at least 30 fps at 800x600 resolution, which really helps when the cards shuffle around. Seems to be pretty efficient managing heat as well in Alaska when you have to sides on the computer case. Has some lights on the card that, well, light up. Pretty helpful if you have your case closed and can't see where it is, so you don't kick it. When the fans do turn on, it is pretty quiet as well, but the fans do spin very fast, which I found out. I'm glad there is a hospital close by, as they were able to somewhat reattach my finger after I tried to make sure the fans were spinning. They were. Only negatives I have is that there are way too many connection ports on the back. DVI, HDMI, DP... I couldnt fit all the cords in there and into my monitor at the same time.
