A friend loaned me her flat panel LCD television while she is out of the country. She didn't have the remote and I found this one. The setup is very easy with instructions provided on the remote's screen. It was so easy in fact that I set up my other TVs that I have lost the remotes to. It found my DVD players and VCRs with no problems.

((ie...turn on tv, turn to input2, turn on dvd player set to rear input,turn on cable box, turn cable box to list of cable box recorded programs))......now I'm all set to transfer my cable programs to a DVD disc. all with the press of 1 button!) and you can do many more complicated sequences too.**tons of buttons for functions (on the lcd screen)**it also has the ability to learn tons of buttons from other remote controls (if you have the old remote)--------------------------------------------------------the worst features:(not too say these are that bad, but it would be nice have)**there is no way to backup all your saved data and macros. **I also didn't see a way to just add misc. buttons for features under a pre-programmed remote(although, I might have missed it)--------------------------------------------------------but all in all this is a great remote for the price, in ways its better than some of the $200-300.00 remotes, and its got a great design to it, it just look nice.
