Very versatile
from Long Beach, CA,  Nov 3, 2011

I am loving it so far. It is very versatile. It has a place to put batteries so you can take it anywhere or plug it into your car so you don't have to have batteries. it has multiple connection options and broadcast pretty well. So far, I love it, but I have only had it for a couple of weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that the honeymoon doen't end.

FM Transmitter with USB Port

I wanted to listen to my ipod over my car speakers & it works fine. It's a bit difficult finding the correct station that works, but when I did, it was good.

Not what I was looking for but it does work.
from Columbia, SC,  Dec 1, 2011

I got this to replace my FM transmitter that I got several years ago with my ipod. The original transmitter was $85.00 and well worth it! If not for a monumental coffee spill, I would still be using that one:( This one would work, but my peeps have advised me to get the tape converter instead. So, this will be yet another thing to add to my overflowing trunk. Oh well, at least it was extrememly cheap.

Works great
 from CO,  Nov 30, 2011

It works great. Just before we got this product from overstock, we had purchased a similar branded Belkin product for $22 from target. It was really bad with a lot of background noise and all. So we decided to rerun that one and when I saw this online for the price, I decide to try it anyways...but it worked liked a dream. Real good clarity and worth every penny. Really happy with the quality and as usual dealing with overstock was a pleasure.

It is what it is
 from AZ,  Nov 29, 2011

Pros- Does what it's supposed to It actually is fairly clear on the speakers, little fuzz Is easy to figure out- very few buttons Cons- It's very cheaply made The power chord doesn't stay snug in the wireless transmitter. It's constantly getting yanked out. Find a good spot for it to stay that is far away from moving parts/items. A small bump can unhinge the chord, even if it's still connected. It turns off after about 30 seconds of idle ipod use... kinda annoying when you're driving and just goes to white noise if the playlist ends

  • How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Looks like the image, although it's really cheap plastic lol
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. It's really cheap, but let's face it, it should be. Paying $6 for something that does the same thing as a monster FM transmitter for 10x the cost, it's still a bargain

IPhone car player
from Pottstown, PA,  May 15, 2012

My daughter's car has no MP3 jack. She lost the last one of these I had bought for her - they wanted $50 fpr one at Radio Shack. Knowing that she'd probably lose a pice again, I got another from Overstock - at an incredible price, and she's happy.

OK solution...
from San Francisco, CA,  May 7, 2012

the 'transmit' part is pretty weak. you need to find a station that is basically clear on both sides... sometimes hard to do in a major market. It is, however, better than nothing, especially if you're dealing with an older car and don't want put the money into fixing or upgrading your stereo.

My husband has an old fashion car with a cassette that he inherited from his dad. He was happily surprised when I gave him this cable, and when it worked he was even more excited! His iPod doesn't make it in the house any longer!

Great Product
from Anchorage, AK,  Mar 25, 2012

I chose this transmitter because of the price, and the fact that it had many more positive reviews than those of more expensive transmitters. I've not been disappointed. It has worked as it should, transmitting a good clear sound while on battery power, or plugged in to the car power outlet with the supplied plug adapter. The only slight problem I've had with it is that it transmits a humming sound when plugged into the car power outlet while using a power inverter in another outlet. I expect any transmitter would do the same, and it's easily remedied by running on battery power while using an inverter. I've used the transmitter about 30 to 40 hours, about half the time on battery power and they still show no sign of running low.

Transmitter has weak signal
from Los Angeles, CA,  Mar 24, 2012

This product simply does not work as well as advertised. I connected my mp3 player in the car and found a radio station with no signal. The transmitter is so weak, in order to hear anything from my mp3 player with little static I have to hold both devices to the ceiling (my antenna is on the roof). Neither the car charger nor headphone cable are long enough to allow you to do so, unless you run the transmitter on AAA batteries, but even so, it is impractical.

does what designed for
from Missouri USA,  Mar 23, 2012

this product does what it was designed to do. However the transmitter is pretty week. it has to be fairly close to the stereo to work and has to be set at a clear channel. It does not cover bleed over from close ststions and is not foreign station compatable.

  • How did the image on site compare with the actual product? looks the same as advertised
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? as far as i can tell it works fine
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. looks nice and works ok nothing has broken yet lol

Does the trick!
from Los Angeles, CA,  Feb 28, 2012

Words great. Sounds fine. I'm in L.A. and I use 87.8 and it seems to work perfectly. Can't beat it for the price! The only thing I wish is that the cord / wire that attaches the iphone to the transmitter was longer. As you can see in the picture (but I didn't really think about at time of purchase) is that the wire is only about 6 inches... which is not enough room to allow you to place the phone on the seat. I guess if you have room on your console you could rig something up to put your phone into (some kind of holder). Anyway, good product for a cheap price.

  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? No defects
