I orginally bought this product for the simple fact that I needed an fm transmitter so i looked everywhere online, and overstock had it the cheapest. I use the thing almost everyday and it works fine aside from a few small things like cutting off after about 40 minutes without being touched, but then again im hardly in my car for that long anyways. Overall, I bought this item over the other because of its dual power capabilities. The sound comes through clear so i love it. I would definetly recommend this item to someone else.
Bought this to use in the car. High pitched whine whenever I used it. Worked fine with portable stereo in the house, but useless for it's intended purpose
This works pretty well. Best if you turn your volume down halfway on your device then control the volume with your car stereo, like it suggests. I just always forget to turn down the volume on my phone.

I was excited to get this as a gift, come to find out the device is hard to work, the battery life is drained very quickly and the port that plugs into the car adapter is useless...
I got this Universal All Channel FM Transmitter on August 20, 2010 and I am using this for the last one month. Advantages: Can be played through battery. Cheap Price. Disadvantages: The Cigrette charging socket is very loose and it comes out often. You cannot save channels. Static sound. Sometimes it gets struck and you will not be able to change the frequency.
The item shipped promptly and was in perfect condition. The sound comes in clear and the channel is easily changed if needed. A great buy.
Seems to work well, just plugged in and tuned to the frequency. Once or twice I've had to cycle the power to get it to transmit the MP3 player signal.
The only reason I bought it over any other was, that it can run a battery. But it drained the battery like in just 1 use. there is no user manual. Overall, its working fine. I guess for the price I paid, I got OK deal. Shipping was quick.
Works well. It seems to use up the battery quickly.
The FM transmission is great. Strong enough signal for me. My problem is that the plug wiggles loose of the cigarette lighter outlet every time I hit a bump. I have to push it back in every time, and it was annoying. So I took another plug and spliced it on, and now it's fantastic! I don't know. It's a good price, but I feel like if I had spent a few more bucks I wouldn't have this issue.
Overall the device is great and works well. A few annoyances: 1. Uses up battery fast 2. When using car power does not save last frequency set 3. Have to turn car stereo up higher to hear. When the device is off or you change channel the stereo is then very loud.
I give it five stars because it was cheap and it works and the only other fm transmitters I could find in the stores cost 50 bucks or more. I am to cheap for that. I can plug in the cigarette lighter or you can buy a AAA size batteries I bought the ones that were four for a dollar and I used 2 of them on a 20 hour drive. If I bought good batteries would have been used for longer. It is definitely worth the price for me.
I looked in a number of stores for a similar product and found them as low as $30 for even less than what this came with. I have used this nearly every day and I would have to say the only negative would be that if you turn off your MP3 player and forget to turn off your radio if that station is picking up anything else then you will be blasted by what it is even if its just static. For the price and how easy it is to use Id say that is a must buy for anyone who listens to MP3s in their car.
Perfect for someone who doesn't have an auxillary plug for their car. It picks up transmission instantaneously, and is small enough to fit in the same cup holder as your ipod.
just ok. It's an inexpensive product that works as advertised but there's probably better out there. The backlit lcd display could be better and the "tuning" buttons could be better as well. The big problem is, it uses a 'AAA' battery for power when not connected to the car adapter, leave the battery in and you'll need to replace it the next time you use it. I've gone through a few batteries in a couple of weeks now because of this.
I purchased two for Christmas and gave my son his early and it doesn't work very cheap looking also cannot pick up signal
The item looks exactly as it should and all the parts were there. However, the car charger that came with it would not fit into the hole. Therefore it burns thru batteries like you would not believe. I requires a new battery daily after a ten minute drive home and back. Also one of the backlights does not work properly so if its dark you can't see it well. Very cheap product. You get what you pay for!

did as promised. The only drawback was that it didn't have a power switch. If you don't take the battery out, it stays on all the time.

This product plays good 60 percent of the time. It has terrible noise instead of playing the music.

The buttons work 1/10 the time which is twice as often as the screen light would turn on, it would almost always only turn on when it was plugged into the car cigarette lighter and than the buttons wouldn't work. There were some rare times it would work without being plugged into the car and thats the only time it work perfectly so maybe twice that happened. The range on it sucks terribly for a device that is most likely only going to be used in a car it can't seem to project a signal the length of a car very well, Doppler effect or not. Though since its cheap i get what i paid for
