Why did you choose this product?
CB's today pretty much give you mediocre performance, compared to their older counterparts. I had the stripped down version of this rig, the Pro510XL (Still do.), but the squelch went on it, but it was a talker and a listener. Now, I use it as a bench test rig. The Pro520XL has that added RF gain feature, which is nice to have. Out of the box the rig does 90% modulation (Because of the limiter set in it.), which is better than what 75% of the rigs out there can do. Also this rig has one of the best receive AGC setting. You can almost be next to someone keying up and they won't sound fuzzy distorted from signal overload. Also, having the ability to turn off the ANL is nice when you're parked in a quiet area and want to hear those weak, distant stations. The S/RF meter isn't bad to get use to, one LED = 1-3lbs, two LED's = 4-6lbs, three LED's = 7-9lbs, and all four LED's = +10lbs and over. We'll see how this rig holds up the test of time in my truck, but so far it's a performer.

Great CB It's compact, powerful, and has a solid construction. This radio is just a hair bigger than the RadioShack Mini CB that I purchased originally. It's also 7-8 watts, so it can reach out there without the use of an amplifier. I personally use it most for the PA option. I'm running a small 25W power horn with no amplifier and it's very loud. My truck is a 7.3L Powerstroke and you can hear the PA over the engine and the straight exhaust (pretty impressive). The actual CB is all metal, so you know its durable (versus the cheap CBs from Walmart and RadioShack that are made out of plastic). Great buy, and Overstock has the best price anywhere. Buy this CB!

good quality product I haven't used it too much, but I have ben able to get a friend on his radio about 6 or 7 miles away in a very suburban environment. I have added a Wilson 1000 whip antenna to get beter range. Haven't gone on the road yet, but this radio works pretty well so far.

uniden pro520xl I'm happy with the Uniden CB. I've used it for about three weeks and it seems to work as well as the much more exspensive radio that I replaced. I would definitely recommend this radio to a friend.

Very low noise with clear audio. Appreciate its "low noise" receiver. The ANL really works. Very compact - should fit almost anywhere. The audio is so good that even though pointed at the floor it can be easily understood.
