Very pleased. Product performs as advertised
Ordered the Uniden DECT 4096 and the 8 additional DCX400 handsets. This resulted in a total of 9 handsets. 4096 Base unit and all but one of the handsets worked perfectly well. However, the one handset could not communicate with base unit if the distance between base and handset was greater than 10 feet. My main reason for writing this review is to praise Overstock.com on how well this issue was handled. A brief phone call, with almost no wait time. Very pleasant customer service person. While I was on the phone with her she ordered a replacement handset (at no additional charge or fees), and, emailed a UPS return label so that I could return the defective handset. The replacement handset arrived, and works perfectly well. This is the definition of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Ordered 8 handsets. 7 were problem free. 1 could not communicate with base unit over a distance of more than 10 feet. Overstock.com quickly and easily arranged for a replacement to be sent.

Not what I thought I had ordered
My experience was great, I received my order fast, however, there was an error. I received an accessory and not a phone like I saw on-line. Overstock.com was quick to send me a label and credit my account. I recommend Overstock.com, I have been very satisified with their service, even it sometimes I get the wrong item. I put I would not recommend because I have not used this product. I returned it.

Excellent 2-line Phone
Entirely satisfied with this phone. Needed two lines in one instrument, few choices in this category. Voice quality is good. Operation is generally intuitive. Battery life is good. Having a corded handset eliminates the need for a conventional backup phone for power outages. Cordless handsets work well throught the entire house and 1+ acre property outside. Some hum issues with both lines connected but this appears to be a problem with the phone line provider, NOT the telephone itself.

Excellent Addition
Addition to a phone system already in service. Unit was identical to other factory supplied units, synched up with the system flawlessly and was easy to use for an untrained user. Instructions left a little to be desired but were adequate.
