Had I taken the time to look the phone up on Uniden's website (since Overstock¿s description does not include this info), I would've known this unit comes with a digital answering machine. Had I known that, I never would've made this purchase because I don't need or want an answering machine. If this were the only thing I didn't like about the phone, I could've dealt with it and just left the machine off. BUT...This phone is horrible. I stuck with it for 5 days, and then gave up and am now returning it. The sound quality is terrible (some of the time) - I felt like I was in a cave talking on this thing. More often than not, the phone would not register Caller ID, even though my other phones would. There is no visual indicator that a message is waiting (possibly because I was not using the systems answering machine). My old phone (VTech) would detect the stutter dial tone when a Voice Mail message was waiting, and then a blue light would start flashing. I loved this feature because I didn't have to keep checking the phone to see if I had messages. Given that this is my 3rd Uniden phone, and I haven't been happy with any of them, I will be staying away from the brand and returning to a brand I trust.

I needed a cordless phone and wanted multiple handsets for our at home business. The quality, style, and functionality of this product is really good. The different ring tones are cool especially since we have put the "Wish you a Merry Christmas" ring tone for the holiday season. Easy to operate and I love that they just need one phone jack to operate them all, as the other handsets just plug into the wall. Another great Overstock product. Thanks!

These phones have cool features and ring tones but there is so much static on them that you can't hardly understand the people. I would not recommend them to anyone. Cool features aren't anything if you can hear who you are talking to. I even changed them around to see if it made a difference and plugged the phone line into another line in the other room and there is still just as much static so I know it is the phones because I never had it with my other phones. I could have got a cheaper phone that sounded alot better and saved some money!

Nice handsets, nice audio quality, dim screen though, hard to read caller id.

We love these phones! We live in an older house and have limited phone jacks, and thats what first attracted us to this set of phones initially but once we got them and set them up it was the features that impressed the family so much. The ability to intercom from room to room has been wonderful and my teenagers love being able to set their own ringtones for their handsets. This is a GREAT buy and a wonderful quality, Overstock has impressed me once again!

I love this brand and I knew I'd be satisfied. I had the prior version of the same phone and they lasted about 3 years and they were great quality. When I saw that overstock had the same kind that I had to replace, I knew they were reliable and that it would be a great buy. The only problem I've had is that it had to come w/ an answering machine and I have voicemail. I haven't figured out how to turn off the answering machine - but only because I haven't taken the time to look for those directions. Otherwise, we all love it. Definitely a recommended buy.

Easy to set up and they sound fine. They arrived quickly and looked like new, even though I knew they were re-manufactured.

So far we are enjoying the phone set. I like the feature where more than one person can speak to another party at the same time. The first set we had didn't have that. I like to use the "speaker phone" feature and so far the sound quality has been nice on that. There is a button on the base which you can use to find the phones if you misplace them...Of course we NEVER do that...! I can't really think of any negatives...I would definitely repurchase this item and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend. Everything was good from the vendor as well.

I thought the price was unbeatable, so I ordered this phone set right away. The main unit was somewhat defective and didn't work, but the other 4 units dispersed around the house worked fine. I called Overstock and told them of the issue. I couldn't have been more pleased with their service. They not only immediately sent me out a new order, but they explained that they didn't need the original one back either, saving me the cost of shipping. That's a very trusting company to not want the defective merchandise back, but I suppose their efficiency in fulfilling orders properly is how they build such a huge, positive customer base. This is actually the 2nd return I've had to make with Overstock. The 1st was over 2 yrs ago, and even at that time, they sent me a replacement item before receiving the broken piece of jewelry back first. Excellent customer service / excellent company. As for the phone, it works great, has tons of features, and the clarity of sound is unbeatable. The battery charge holds for an unearthly time period. It has about 20 something ring types you can choose from (like a cell phone) and all sorts of cool add on functions. I'm very happy with the product!

Tried a few other phones and could not find one that was as good our old worn out Uniden phones. We just love the Global setup feature. Add a number to one phone and all phones have that number. You can setup or check the messages from any handset or from the base. Name each handset individually and intercom between handsets. Office, Parents, Den, Kitchen. Great phone system.

This was a Christmas gift and went over very well. The phone does have an echo that can be overwhelming at times. I thought that it may be the location. But, when I took it to two friends' houses, the same occurred. One of the handsets was extremely scratched and mangled, but the others seemed in good shape. One of the batteries was damaged, also. The protective covering was sliced and the wires were not even connected. The features on the phone are spectacular and easy to use. We are still working on learning all of them, since there are so many, but they are kid and idiot-friendly, too! Will definitely recommend.

The phones seem fine...They had a few minor scratches and packed a little sloppy....I'm just not sure this was the BEST BUY I could have made on this phone system....Not unhappy, just not sure this is Overstock.Com super deal that I'm use to.
