All I had to do was install the card and boot the pc. On re-start, Vista recognized the modem and installed built-in Vista drivers and the modem has worked flawlessly since then. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is because the included driver & software aren't Vista compatible so all the features aren't availble without going to the US Robotics website to obtain updated software. Overstock.com shipped the product promptly and I received it quickly.
